Today, I'm gonna showcase some mods, that replace Sonic with other characters. For this video, i'm gonna play with Amy, Tails and Knuckles and also with their classic versions !
⚠️The character selection screen is not real, I made it by myself on After Effects !

I think Modern Tails' energy bar should recharge automatically in exchange of not having hitbox, that way the flight will feel more natural

I like modern Tails and Knuckles. They feel like new playable characters with their own powers, while the rest are just reskin of Sonic.

This video scarily predicted ONLY Amy and Knuckles having a homing attack while Tails gets none a year and A DAY before.

I didn't think Tails and Knuckles could be in a boost game, but I stand corrected. I'd LOVE that modern Tails. Classic Tails and Knuckles being just model imports kind of defeats the point in comparison, though. I get both versions of Amy because altering the jumping mechanics themselves could be a huge pain, but flight and glide were implemented for modern Tails and Knuckles so wouldn't making them on Classic be easier?

would hate to burst your bubble, but this is just a bunch of different mods edited to make a mock up of multiple characters. however, SHC 22 seems to have a mod with different customizable skins for sonic, so a mod like this may not be too far off.

This would be really cool as an actual mod, but it's most likely not possible unless completely new mechanics are to be made and implemented into the game for the character selection and switching, and even then you'd be adding a lot to the game, perhaps more than it can handle. The thought and concept is still cool though.

@@Leo-nm1ne I'm not referring to the Console limitations, I'm referring to the limitations of the Hedgehog Engine, the game engine Sonic Games are usually run on. Sonic Generations is pretty strenuous as it is on the engine, having frame drops at multiple points. Now I'm not knowledgeable on these topics, so I could be entirely wrong about this.

@@OrdinaryGP Yeah the Hedgehog Engine is only the lighting engine. It has little to no effect on the gameplay. The closest thing we have to a gameplay engine is Havoc; and that’s just a physics engine

Not gonna happen. I really wish it would but I been waiting over a decade for them to come to that decision and all I really got was Mania :/ (which is a good game don't get me wrong, but I wanna play as other characters besides Sonic/Shadow in 3D again...)
