This video showcases the November 19th update for the Sonic Adventure Roblox Fangame, Sonic Onset Adventure. This Update includes a new Sonic model with animations. There's also new obstacles and the test stage was expanded upon.

I am loving the new model and animations, very expressive. When you have fun playing in the test stage, you know there's insane potential here. xD - I finished my Senior Seminar presentation, I'm basically done with College at this point. Feels good, will definitely have more freetime in the next month. :D - I've seen this comment like 100x, I will play Pyrite Adventure 2 eventually. I need to reset my save file somehow and a few other things. It's a long game so it'll take some time to get that video out.

@@EXT4NT Did running make the game feel any better? That’s what you get from a momentum based MORDERN sonic game without boost mechanics. Why do you think Colours and Generations were hits? They utilized the Boost mechanic properly. You need a balance. Sonic adventure felt good but it felt lacking. Speed defines sonic. Unleashed is a perfect example.

@@EXT4NT NOOO I HATE THAT GAME. Well, for a fan game it’s good but I was stuck on a level when I was 10 and I played for 6 hours. That game gives me trauma. Well, about the momentum, I really dislike it. The characters don’t....fit in with the style. As soon as you start moving your going fast, no buildup. Everything is mostly pixels so it’s really easy to fall. The game has no sense of direction either. I see nothing good in roboblast 2.

The fan game is great an all, especially since its made in Roblox. However what you are literally asking for is a game Sega created 22 years ago now, which you can play on almost every generation of console since the Dreamcast. I do agree though we need to go back to the Adventure Formula.

Does anyone notice that this is one full model and its moving without being stiff? Other roblox games use multiple shapes to make up the model. They also managed to emulate the adventure physics. Very impressive.

This model seriously caught me off gaurd. I'm like 99% sure it's a sonic adventure model, but it also almost looks custom made. The face is a little different, and the animations are super expressive.

a thing i learned is that if you press r after hitting a spring, Sonic does the Airkick from Advanced 2. Not moving while doing it makes you go up, while moving makes him do the windmill/spin kick

well, right now it's missing the ring dropping, death and enemies in general, but even then.. the test stage looks like it's quite fun to play, rolling around at the speed of sound! but... you know what's the best part?.. well, this isn't even it's final form.. can you imagine what this could become in the future? I really hope to see it finished someday...

The best way to test a sonic game mechanic is by not running. Does the phisics break once you do so? Does the character act weird when doing so? Does the game turns exploitable when doing so? This is something Sonic official developers always forget to test and end up selling games that punishes you for going fast or Sonic 06

Im going to guess its just a test map but the paths are a bit narrow....other than that might be one of the better if not best roblox fan game I've seen. Also sonics model is a bit big but I'm nitpicking with that one.

To be honest, all this really needs is some more people and/or time to polish everything up. Slightly more detailed textures, slightly better lighting, and a bit more smoothing in the animation, and I’d honestly buy it without the slightest hint of hesitation or regret.

There's only one thing I'd like to see added to this project that probably isn't already in the works: I'd like the ability to roll out of a jump, so that half-pipes are actually useful.

the fact that this was done in roblox is mindblowing, holy shit would be amazing if somebody attempted to port it to unity using a lua interpreter, would allow for much better lighting and more flexibility (not me though, my programming is stinky doodoo)

I actually had to use the mouse for that, used the left clicker. (I use xbox360 controller for everything else though).

Yeah. The SA2 Light Speed Dash animation was always my favorite. That hurdle looking pose makes perfect sense for what he's trying to do. This just needs those after images.
