Thank you to @gamesdonequick for giving us the opportunity to showcase this relay run! It was a goal of mine to run a Sonic game at a mainline GDQ, and I got to be on the big stage with my friends within the Sonic community. I'm happy and proud of how we played and being able to show off various strats. Hope y'all enjoy the run! Also, MargeKong :)

56:50 the reason why doing the drop dash from the top of a ramp going down (at least outside of Sonic Mania and 3&K which i'll explain after this explanation) gives you a ton of speed is because the drop dash doesn't really work 1:1 with Sonic Mania. it essentially charges and releases a single-tap spindash for a single frame, whereas Sonic Mania translates that boost from the drop dash in a more complex manner, resulting in pretty big differences with how the 1/2/CD drop dash works (the reason why i say 3&K as well as Mania is because it can reuse the code for the drop dash directly from Mania because it's technically built off of that game's code)

Excuse me for a stupid question. As a non-native English speaker Im a little bit confused with he/they. Isn't he/them more correct?

i think it's just that it uses the first word of "they/them" to get "he/they", like how the first word of "he/him" is used for the first word of "he/they", so basically it uses the first word of both respective pronouns. "he/them" would certainly be more accurate to how the pronouns are arranged, but i think "he/they" is simply way more commonly used (i even use it like that myself)

Pretty sure he/they means that the person is ok with being referred to with he/him pronouns or they/them pronouns. Just as he/she would mean the person is ok with being referred to with he/him or she/her pronouns. You wouldn't say he/them, in the same way you probably wouldn't say he/her or she/him

They/Them/it all work as English doesn't actually have a neutral pronoun. English sucks for neutrality.

That's a good question, not stupid at all! If someone lists their pronouns as he/they, what they are saying is that there are two sets of pronouns they use, either he/him or they/them. It's not that they use only he and also only them, which I think might be where your confusion is coming from. The practice of listing pronouns he/they rather than he/them is mostly just convention, but I think it does help make it more clear that we're referring to two sets of pronouns rather than one set with a mix of options. I hope that all made sense and was helpful!

Grammatically, them is indeed the third-person pronoun used in the predicate of the sentence, making it the equivalent that would be used in place of him. The reason why "he/they" is used over "he/them" seems to have to do with formatting. My guess is that since the host goes by either he/him or they/them pronouns, it was decided to format them as "he/they". This way, both pronoun sets have parity with each other and are presented as equal.
