So Sorry I am late watching this! But I eventually realized something about Nine's side of things. Yes like you said this episode Sonic seemed to be getting through to Nine until it looked like he betrayed him. However, if Nine really was going to follow their deal then that gives his side a legitimate point. The Chaos Council opened those giant portals when Nine warned them not to and Sonic is the one who broke the Prism in the 1st place. They broke reality and Nine was trying to fix it. The only part where Nine became a villian is that he claimed he only cared about saving himself but it really seemed like he was going to keep his word and save everyone as part of a deal. It is interesting to think about Nine's point of view.

It was very risky to leave the safety of the dome; but friends come first no matter what. Even though Nine had his ways, Sonic was able to help Nine have the feeling of friendship again. And you’re right, Nine has a heart under his clouded mind (well the clouded mind part you didn’t say, but Nine’s heart definitely. And it would’ve stayed that way if the others didn’t show up; but they had to do it for their friend. But now Nine is looking even more mad than before. In the end, great reaction and can’t wait to see more! 👍💙

The reason it’s only 7 episodes instead of 8 is because season 1 episode 1 was 40 minutes long instead of the 20 minutes that most of the episodes are. They put two of the episodes together so that viewers could watch the first episode and get to know the premise and world a bit better than if the first episode was cut at 20 minutes Great reaction as usual can’t wait for the next episode.
