Despite the fact that they are very different in personality and in design. Sa2 sonic has longer quills, more defined muzzle, soap shoes, thinner figure, and various other qualities. Sonic team is stupid

That’s just the way the mods are built. Modern sonic came before sa2 sonic, and was made to resemble srb2 sonic (the sonic originally from the game). Sa2 sonic was made to resemble the actual sa2 model, so they were built using different principles, thus resulting in the height difference.
