@@ultrachristian28yes,he could survive thanks to the wisp, but sonic managed to outrun for a few seconds a black hole, and survive the enough amount of time inside of it, so that wisp could help him, but maybe that black hole was weaker, since it was maded because of eggman's laser malfuction.

he must've managed to escape the black holes outer-gravity quick enough for it not to affect him. and it isn't the mass of the black hole, it's the mass of the star which caused it, a big big star. he wouldn't have to run at the speed of light, which would've killed him because he would be required to have no mass to reach that speed. and does the black hole have an accretion disc? if so, is he close to it? if thats also correct, then he would die. radiation and heat. ask me more if you need more

@@cosmicsunshines Its from an old Sonic rom hack called Sonic Boom, its only one 3 act zone but for its time and even now the hack is absolutely amazing with how creative it is and all the modicfacations it made to the Sonic 2 engine.

According to Wikipedia, the blast winds of a nuclear blast are somewhere around 300m/s While the whole "Running from a firey explosion through a factory" part is obviously extremely unrealistic, it's cool to know that there is supposedly some realism here in how Sonic's in-game speed scales to the blast Of course, a quick Wikipedia search doesn't constitute any real, substantial research, but I don't particularly feel like pouring a lot of time into this, haha. If someone else feels inclined to do a deep dive, though, I'd love to hear the results!

@@ClonmareThe black hole had a one way exit. No obstacles, no loops, no bottomless pits. It’s a straight line away from the impending doom. This though? Nah he had to basically skip half of the level cause most obstacles would end up leaving him in the explosion. He was 100% more focused on this than the blackhole. But he had to still be pretty scared in both.

A known fact would be how fire produces a heat ray. For example, if you turn on a lighter and hover your hand over the flame, you would still feel heat as it would burn your hand, but not enough to burn right through it. This could also show that sonic just being close to the massive flames chasing him could also be painful considering how big it is, only making the heat ray more painful.

I actually really like this angle. The flashing warning lights and giant explosion behind him causing him to flashback to the time he had to outrun a similar explosion all on his own. Kinda like how the police sirens caused Shadow to have a flashback just before Radical Highway.

Sonic must have ran faster than he ever has in any other previous game, the reason why would be that the blast from a average nuke travels at about 784 miles per hour meaning he would have to run faster than that, possibly having to break the sound barrier maybe even more depending on how power the that nuclear blast was but this one would seem to be below average (even though you cant run from the fire from a nuke because there isn’t any) he would most likely be running from a shockwave.

Sonic's base speed going across a straight stretch of land is about 350 or 360 meters per second according to the game, meaning that he was going the same speed as the blast, but since he started running before it reached him it left that consistent gap between him and the blast. It'd also explain why Sonic wasn't able to escape the flames without the use of the springs or a downwards angled bit of land, as those two things greatly boosted his speed

according to the speed counter at the top, sonic was running (on average) a mile every ~5 seconds depending on his speed, which is roughly 0.25-0.3 miles per second and 900-1100 mph, which means he is, again depending on his speed, fast enough to outrun a nuclear blast when you factor out initial radiation and blast heat info taken from official FEMA documents and calculations
