I can only assume he is not aware of the OVA trend of the 90s that this anime does have in common with so many back in the day only being OVAs that sell the Manga to the Japanese audience. That is why the Devilman OVA only covered the first half of the orginal manga.

I have read all the world war blue mangas and I must say that the manga is better than that anime version is. Manga version has less fanservice and it shows more ninteldo characters and the story goes much further than the anime does. SPOILERS, those soldiers who killed Til in the first episode where actually Pirates, Pirates are the actual main villains of this show. Also, there are more characters in the manga, for example, Saroid who is Samus Aran, Masa who is Lucas, Pirika who is Pikachu and Fosta who is Fox McCloud. Also there where characters based on Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong but they both got killed by Pirates so I don't remember their names. Also, Ramses is based on those Tetris like gem puzzle games...That is the reason why Tejirof likes her so much.
