I know, someone already said this but, I just always wanted to say this: POV:Everyone knew. Not just Eggman, but the ENTIRE CAST, right down to the red echidna. They could all tell the difference all along, they were just playing stupid just to dispose of the blue blur and maybe, JUST MAYBE, find a suitable replacement in the process as well.

The fact that this is a plausible scenario is what is really disturbing. We the audience can clearly see difference between Sonic and his look-alikes, but in-verse there is so much confusion between the characters. The fact the fandom exploits this doesn't help.

I'm surprised Knuckles was the only one to recognize metal Sonic didn't look quite right while Eggman mistook Sonic for Metal. I still like this though. Sonic can be an entitled dickhead, Amy seems to be kind of blind and mistakes other hedgehogs for Sonic, and it was funny to see Sonic's friends enjoying Metal Sonic's company.

Having blue arms makes him look cute, which is what the Movie went for unfortunately. Shadow has black arms because it connotes to his mysterious or calm and in his zone character
