Sonic Sea ( www.sonicsea.org ) is a 60-minute documentary about the impact of industrial and military ocean noise on whales and other marine life. It tells the story of a former U.S. Navy officer who solved a tragic mystery and changed forever the way we understand our impact on the ocean.
The film is narrated by Rachel McAdams and features Sting, in addition to the renowned ocean experts Dr. Sylvia Earle, Dr. Paul Spong, Dr. Christopher Clark and Jean-Michel Cousteau.
Sonic Sea was produced by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Imaginary Forces in association with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and Diamond Docs.

I just watched it in my city. EVERYONE should see it, and it should be showed on various TV channels, too! It is one of the most important issues today!

I cant believe we allow this to happen. This is what we should be worrying about in politics, global warming, noise pollution , environment. Those should be talked about ALOT MORE on the news too to make EVERYONE AWARE OF THIS RIDICULOUS STUFF THAT WE ARE DOING TO THE ENVIRONMENT that we need to live.

I saw on the news there's school of Orcas (Killer Whale) swimming near Anambas in Indonesia during this Corona Outbreak, it never happened before. I watched this trailer again after watching this few years ago, my theory is they swim to this region because man-made underwater noise is lesser during this outbreak. I could be wrong. I wish I could get permission to screen this movie in my daughter's school to create awareness on this issue.

I shared it many times. Everybody should see this to become aware of how noise pollution causes many victims among marine life which is unable to communicate together.And in particular authorities who want to built enormous windmill parks on seas and oceans.

It isn't solely marine mammals who suffer from underwater noise pollution. Fish and other aquatic animals are also very detrimentally affected, some lethally.
