@@NamePulseIt’s a long story, but shorthand; Ken Penders was one of the many writers for the Sonic Archie comics, and is credited with the creation of numerous characters, to include Sonic’s parents (Jules and Bernadette), the Wolf Pack (clan members of the Mobian She-Wolf, Lupe), Knuckles’ parents (Locke and Lara-Le), most of the Echidna race to include the Guardians (Knuckles’ ancestors, to include his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Athair, who officially appeared in the show Sonic Underground) and the Dark Legion (technophile echidnas who want to control Echidna society) Julie-Su (Knuckles’ bad*** GF and DL defector), Enerjak (both the spirit and the host, which in this case was Knuckles’ distant grand-uncle who absorbed energy from 11 Chaos Emeralds which made him functionally omnipotent and supremely insane), the concept of the Chaos Force, and much more. The problems that came about were that years after he left Archie comics, he wanted royalties for the use of the characters he created. Archie Comics declined, citing his “work-for-hire” contract, which stated that all of his creations would be the property of Sega, according to U.S copyright law. But he started working for Archie Comics in 1993, and the earliest contract they had for him was for 1996, and further attempts to locate the original were unsuccessful. To make matters worse, it was later discovered that any original contract copies that Archie had with their former writers were lost in a fire years before, which meant that Penders could have won the lawsuit. Penders was willing to settle, saying that all that he wanted were Royalties (and by proxy, Royalties to other former writers), and that the Archie timeline would end with his vision for it. As a result, Archie said “No,” and did a soft reboot of the comics, resulting with any characters or concepts created by former writers being removed, and the comics being brought more in line with the games. Official SEGA characters (in the Archie Comics such as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Mighty, Espio, Charmy, etc.) could not have blood family members or romantic interests, and only characters from established media could be brought in. Decades of history gone, decades worth of characters gone, interesting concepts gone…. All because one guy got too big for his britches and got greedy. Earning him the enmity of the Sonic Community.

I've been wanting Tikal to show her face in the series. For a while I was wondering how she would show her face in the series, but now I have an idea: Tikal was tired of Pachacamac (her father) and the other echidnas' power hungry ways, like in the games, but she couldn't do anything to stop them, so she ran away from home, thus making Knuckles have no knowledge of her existence.

Having never played the games, I like how this film goes into detail as to why Knuckle holds a grudge for Sonic when they first meet, (losing his father and entire tribe to Longclaw and hoping to retrieve the Master Emerald before he even met Robotnik) whereas I think the games and even cartoons had Robotnik lie to him about Sonic stealing the Emerald for himself when they were already allies at that point.

My guess is that after they killed Longclaw they went after the chaos emeralds like in adventure 1 and ran into chaos who tikal tried to warn them about and were killed.

Too bad the Knuckles series retconned this, as shown in the "WORST MUSICAL NUMBER EVER" as I call it... In that said musical number, Knuckles' father died and he was there to witness it, and because of that, he set off to find portal rings and the flames of disaster.

I have a head canon alternate timeline of how the Echidnas (except Knuckles) died. They have discovered Earth so that the Owls can’t find them and when they’re at earth, they see a man named “Penn Kenderson” who loves Echidnas so much he has an obsession with eating them, he loved eating Echidnas deep fried when he was a child, and he starts frying them up and selling them, which gave him an idea to open up a fast food deep fried echidna franchise called “Penn’s Deep Fried Echidna Emporium!”

In this scene Longclaw defeated 30 echidnas with spears and swords all by herself that means Echidnas were too weak to destroy Babylon all by themselves and there was third player during the war, and when it ended, Hedgehogs betrayed and exterminated owls

Well, from the movie we find out that the echidna warriors created the Master Emerald, and the owl warriors took it away. This means that when the Echidna Clan attacked Longclaw's home, they were simply trying to get back what was owed to them. I don’t want to say anything bad about Longclaw, she raised and took care of Sonic after all, but from Knuckles’ backstory and the history of the creation and abduction of the Master Emerald, we can conclude ... that SHE (and her kinds) was to BLAME for the tragedies of Sonic and Knuckles.

In my opinion I don’t think it’s the Enchdinas fault or the owls the owls thought the enchdinas were bady guys with power nobody needed so they stole it and left it on earth the Enchdinas were actually good and heroes but because they had the chaos emeralds stolen they waged war and during war lost millions of Enchdinas but managed to kill every owl until there was one left and with the last thousands of themselves left they left a young Enchdina behind and attack the last owl to get the secret of the where the Chaos emeralds were

The explanation from the Knuckles show makes more sense to me rather than Knuckles “never seeing his family again” I just ignore this piece of lore and go along with the Knuckles version.
