I heard some people ask why they couldn't just go the Space Jam route and have Sonic look more like a cartoon character than this. It probably won't make the movie better, but at least the character would be nice to look at.

I think so too. Even if the Showtime series he’s in isn’t HUGE, it’s done by the same guy who did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which Jim Carrey also starred in. One of my favorite films, one of his best performances.

3:37 Korey literally spoke my mind. When I first watched the trailer, I had the same thought in my head. I’m so glad everyone reached out to Paramount about this because that hell of a design was a recipe for disaster. Honestly this looks like they took inspiration from Woody Woodpecker and Yogi Bear. And also let’s not forget the biggest inspiration the Smurfs movie. Sonic coming from an alternate are dimension, even though Mobius is earth in the future. I just can’t believe how bad this really looks. Why is this the second movie where James Marsden has to deal with an anthropomorphic CGI animal. Dude was in Hop and didn’t learn his lesson.

If I remember correctly, Ready player one had a Sonic in that movie that looks awesome. If they animated the movie with that style it would be awesome

When I listen to gangsters paradise I think of it fitting with: 1. Godzilla 2. Batman you know with the villains and the city he's in. 3. The Punisher 4. Dare Devil 5. Mortal Kombat 6. Black Lagoon and a ton of other violent anime.
