More About Sonic The Hedgehog TV Show: Sonic the Hedgehog (also known as Sonic SatAM) is an American-Italian animated television series based on the video game series of the same name. It was story edited by Len Janson and produced by DiC Entertainment, Sega of America, Inc., and the Italian studio Reteitalia S.p.A. It is the second of DiC's Sonic cartoons, following Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It features a more dramatic and dark story, depicting Sonic as a member of a band of freedom fighters battling to overthrow Doctor Robotnik. The program aired for two seasons on ABC from September 18, 1993 to December 3, 1994.

SATAM holds many memories for us fans. It was a fun run, depth, even though had rarely any connection to the games. But the comic book series was something else.

SatAM was made at a time when Sonic 1 and Sonic CD were basically the only major games in the series. It takes it's major ideas from both of them.

Snively didn't double-cross Robotnik. If you watched the finale, you'd know that Snively survived the destruction of the Doomsday Project when Robotnik left him to die.

I thought it was suppose to be "Everything you didn't know" If you watched the series you know all that was said here and more. I thought you were going to talk about the animation studios, who worked on it, deep stuff like that, not superficial journalism for people who don't know who Sonic the hedgehog is.

It's not several episodes. It's two shorts that aired twice. One of the shorts, called Ghost Busted, was more focused on Tails. They were my favorites.

You left out Muttski. He only made one appearance in the pilot in his roboticized form and hasn't returned or was even mentioned since. Speaking of the pilot, it never had an origin story.

6:03 That's Jim Cummings right there! Famous for doing the voice of the Terror Mask in Splatterhouse! Although he's now ashamed of that role he really shouldn't be. Its great and it fits with his voicing of gaming characters. Cool ones, even!

Does the way Robotnik happens to look and act remind anyone else of Clown from Spawn The Animated Series from HBO, or is it just me?

Thank you for doing research into this to be as factual it can be. I will say you did get somethings wrong like you pronounce Naugus name wrong, Bunnie is Bunnie Rabbot and it was just Sonic and Sally who went back in time. Though everything else pretty spot on, so good job on whoever did research for this.

You got it wrong. Only Sonic and Sally travelled back in time. And we never even got to see the proper time when Bunnie was partly roboticized.

Eh. I liked the storylines used in the 'Sonic Adventure' games far better than SatAM. But it is nice to see Sonic get some more mainstream media attention. Can't wait for the movie in 2019!

I enjoyed that early show, and the PSA's weren't nearly as ham-fisted as forced allegories in shows like Saban's X-Men. I did like the female characters though. Cream will always be my favorite character to play as, but (Sally and Bunny). For shows about political subtext, I think that my favorites were Clone Wars (both the Filoni and the Tartakovsky ones). Old Republic was the perfect time to explore the political landscape and legislature of the Star Wars universe.

First of all, Sally wore a vest, not a jacket. It's based on the one she wore in a comic special.

Sage Japan should look at this series and remake it to there style sally and the freedom fighters deserve to come back, IDW no longer gives a huge heck neither Archie Comics after ending the series.... I'l said it again BRING THEM BACK SEGA!!!!!!!!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: This 👏 continuity 👏 NEEDS 👏 to 👏reincarnate! Not simply reboot, as countless other unfulfilled series had done, play itself out in a way that makes sense in our current landscape, free of executive meddling and above all, keep some of the promising elements from both the show and comic incarnations, including what was shelved, pick them apart, and retell them on a level that nobody thought possible. For an example of a reincarnated show, I'd say Ducktales, but that's more of a reincarnation of the entire Disney Afternoon, not just the original, so a SatAM/Archie reincarnation would probably be more focused. Anyway, this has to happen, and I don't care what garbage has to die to make it so!

This video could had been better off without the phrases said between these points of its length: 7:10 and 7:11 and 8:00 and 8:01 (note: I had found the phrases to had been rude).
