I think it is essentially a new game. Idk the official description on the channel with this video is confusing. It mentions that it's a collection and says that a full remaster of Generations is also included. So from my understanding that's saying it's a new Shadow game that just has the Generations remaster added as a bonus.

Shadow is probably the most interesting character in the series aside from Sonic himself, but you only see his backstory in Sonic Adventure 2, this guy goes through an entire character arc from start to finish. The payoff was colossal and I really hope they do him justice and give our edgy boy the time and care he needs to shine like he did in his hay day.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I interpreted, this game will show what Shadow was doing in the space phase (while Sonic was saving his friends from the null white void), before he met up with Sonic and start fighting.

The shadow that Sonic fights with is the one from the past, the adventure 2 version The current shadow was missing throughout the game and it is not until the end of the game that he appears to support the Sonics along with the rest Here we will see what the shadow of the present was doing, while Sonic fought with his version of the past and saved his friends

@@turtle2848 Wasn't that already an unlockable song in OG Generations? If not, of course it also deverves to be in the game. "Sonic Youth", however, wasn't in the game since it came out a while after the game's release (I'm also not sure if SEGA was even involved in that or if Crush 40 did that by themselfes). The song would fit the game perfectly though and considering how boring the music during the final battle is (in my opinion), I'd love them to add it in this version.

Sega probably won't see this but a online hub would be cool where you could race other people at stages. The hub would be the regular stage selection but with people kinda like the wara wara plaza for the wii u. Also for playstation user they don't have to use playstation plus to be able to play on the online hub. In order to unlock this you need to beat the main game to unlock the online hub or buy it through online transaction but make that 5 months later. Another concept is to make shadow playable for the main game after beating the shadow campaign. KZfaq comments make this the most liked comment on this video to get attention

3 possibilities exists for Shadow + Time Travel. 1. The Time Eater might have some connection with Black Doom. 2. Shadow could be tempted with a chance to go back and save Maria. 3. This could leave a door open for Shadow The Hedgehog 2.
