Ermac in MK1 is an MKX character and thats why he looks so fun and versatile. You can see the clear difference in Ermac's versatility and Scorpion's boring lackluster moveset/playstyle. Scorpion's main 40% BNB combo is doing one string back to back three times.. I hope they make future characters like Ermac.

you're mostly right, but did you see that janet cage 64% combo?? scorpion can do some cool stuff. But I mostly think scorpion is an outlier here and thus a bad example because NRS has ptsd from when scorpion was OP in the previous titles, so they made him wayyyy to linear in overcompensation

Nitara animations truly underrated imo she’s one of my faves to watch in general, she feels a lot more fast paced. Scorpion tho…. 💀his animations really make me appreciate some of the other characters in the game

The combo at 23:24 was soooo amazing but otherwise yeah he’s so boring. Literally him and Omni man’s combos make me so bored to watch. It’s a shame.

Ermacs DB2 is what makes him so OP imo. Probably reminds Sonic of Sindels combos. I’m seeing Ermacs that’ll use THAT move continuously for 20 hit strings until they finally break the defense.

It's a new mk1 thing that nobody uses cause it costs 2 bars of meter, also scaling is bad, so you won't achieve a lot of damage comboing after that uppercut.

I think you have to hold jump and either L1 or R1 I don’t remember. It’s in the moves list though

Only when hes doing 1-2 string incase the 3 comes out after BUT when he floats he can mix you with db3 as a low and just keep pressuring, hes just a mind game and he switches up so fast thats why so many people are having a hard time against him

His sweep is 0 on block, d4 staggers on hit and you can hitconfirm it into bf1 dash-cancel into point-blank pressure. Honestly you’re better off stand blocking by default unless he is in your face.

Ermac is almost too much sauce. I was using him for the invasions combo challenges, executing my heart out, and then failing the challenge. Geras bnb killed halfway through the combo 😭

I play scorpion because he’s always been my favorite character in the lore but this game makes his combos lame. Really love the spear and the spin but I wish he had a katana overhead/low mix like mkx ninjutsu. Scorps always had the koolest weapons but they really settled with only using the spear in mk1.

That's how linear Scorpion gameplay is on this game. He has no kombo routes. Everything he does will start or end the same. If his teleport popped the opponent up like past games, he'd have more kombo routes/extenders.

@Supertrooper697 That's the result of players ranting about him for the last 3 games plus Injustice Gods Among Us. Sub is also bad because he's also ranted about equal to Scorpion. At least Sub is more flushed out and has more options/kombo routes. Sub just needs fewer gaps in his strings and a damage buff. Scorpion needs an overhaul or added moves like a low kick starter and possibly a teleport that pips the opponent up for 1 bar of meter.
