Just Shapes & Beats - Fan Made Animation Revision - Final Boss (Nitro Fun)

Closely inspired by the final boss fight in Just Shapes and Beats. I wanted to have my own spin on the fight itself. Unfortunately, not everything could make it through thanks to the limitations of adobe animate... Further down the desc. Explains what errors I went through.
Limitations and Errors ran into while working on Adobe Animate:-
Crown animation just would not stop flashing no matter what i did.
The aspect ratio would not change on neither AE or Adobe Animate, fault on my part somewhere along the lines.
Some mechanics were removed entirely because Adobe Animate can't handle basic geometric shapes.
At one point. The entire animation did not function when played outside of adobe animate. Half of the video was almost scrapped till I investigated further and found out Adobe doesn't like shapes that change colour rapidly on occasion because why not.
Overall, this isn't fully what I imagined, but I did like problem-solving. Though I now hate adobe animate with a passion.
Get ToonBoom. Adobe Animate sucks. This game is hype af. Happy New Year!

You should probably add more warning indicators.

Where would you suggest? I know the little enemy helpers that take the crown away could use a warning marker but everything else seems to be enough.

i think mybe the random lazers are kinda memory based during the begging. i think with some indicators should help

@@beepbitfutures aah like how it's done towards the end. Yeah, it'll definitely make the fight look more frightening if the warning indicators were displayed there. Same with the enclosed circle bit of the boss fight

Hmm...maybe try using fadeout too to make it a bit easier to see? Rather than white flashes try fade to blacks.

Dang it... Haven't found an animation that gets the same scale and speed that JSaB does. This is good, but the pink guy doesn't have the same bounciness. -also nobody ever gets the right shade of pink-

Makes me glad that you feel the need to even implement this yourself if you had the editor! I didn't actually know about the editor announcement until halfway through this project. But i decided to continue since i felt it would be fun to put this even if i could have had an easier time

How to beat: -dodge the first 2 lasers -stay near the middle -the circle laser patters is always the same 1 bottom 2 top 2 top Repeat -During the top lasers during the circle part, stay between the 2 top lasers -When blixer becomes a cannon, don’t stay near him or the laser might “drag” you to blixer

Probably not. I noticed that while developing it. Mostly due to limitations on my PC and flash. There's lots i would change if i was to approach this again. Such as rotating the last part or the fight to emulate the feeling of rising up. Or adding pellets that come off from the boss like in the original fight In the end though. I hope for others to take on this and do better or have their own remix! It's quite fun

To give a rough idea of what i planned out. The first half of the fight is exactly as planned but the second half has major changes. Originally, each beat attack would cover 2 thirds of the screen and the part that wasn't covered would have the main boss take shape of the pacman shape seen in his 2nd encounter. He would attack upwards leaving a small space for the player to go to. The middle part where the circle forces the player into the middle is exactly as planned. Though i would now change it to two small circles to represent the boss' eyes. The fight resumes but eventually it gets to the point where the last beat only has 1 thin safe spot at the centre.

Wow, 20k+ views and over 100 new subs on a channel i was gonna abandon! I can't thank you guys enough for this! I'm currently studying animation at uni right now and this was a side project i put together for fun. But also because i needed a task to do test my animation skills. Unfortunately my Flu.x program got the better of me and gave my computer screen a different colour outlook! Always remember to switch off Flu.x mode. But I'm definitely saving that colour code! I relied on the eye dropper as you can see! ^^"

If anyone dint saw the warnings of the 1st and 2nd part because of the random lazers with no warnings at all,The white spikes are the warning indicaters for the lazer to get released

the concept for final boss is that the boss is chasing you down trying to stop you from getting to the last triangle which he succeded but this cool too
