I do plan to go about this playthrough completely solo, but I’m still thinking about the hard mode grind and whether or not I should get assistance just to let the playthrough keep going or keep all of the waiting aspects in. I'm gonna add on to the issue with the game because I've had a similar experience, having played the game through to completion basically. I'm going to explain some of my own issues with the game to add on to what I believe needs to be known before someone decides to play this game. There's a lot of different RNG mechanics in this game. There's legendary drops and mythical drops. Legendary drops range from 1/50 to 1/250 in rarity from different sources. One example is the Aura of Death, which recently got completely disabled because the developers thought it was too good. This item is a 1/100 from a boss that only shows once in a biome that happens on a 1/20000 chance. Do the math and you get 1/2m for the item, unless you have friends who send you links to those biomes. Though, that involves you in the community, which has got to be the most toxic cesspool I've ever witnessed. I don't recommend going for it. Mythical drops are something else altogether. Mythical items can range from 1/777 to 1/1500, and sometimes don't even come from a guaranteed spawn, which only kind of makes it more annoying to deal with them. You can get a 1/150 chance for one of them currently, but the item isn't really worth it for the effort required to obtain that chance. You can counteract the low drop chances a little bit with loot luck, but unless you get an unobtainable item from the admins, you can only really lower a 1/100 chance to 1/67 or so. (Don't quote me on that but its a close estimate) There's also the main path. In main path, your final tier is equinox items, which require you to get an item from two different previous tiers, those being Seraph and Eldritch items. Progression aside, the rarity of the biomes that provide the required materials for crafting these items go as follows: Tier 1: Pure vs. Corrupt (Called PVC in most cases): 1/1000 Tier 2: Holy vs. Unholy (or HVUH): 1/1500 (?) Tier 3: Void or Angelic (These are separate biomes, and you need both): 1/7000 Tier 4: Astaroth or Benedictus: 1/20000 Another thing of note is that sometimes the bosses will not spawn in the Void and Angelic biomes, this is because the developers are adamant on not adding boss pity to those biomes and those biomes only. All other biomes have boss pity (barring Astaroth and Benedictus because they are guaranteed spawns in their respective biomes no matter what). Their reasoning for this was because the boss drops were global for the Void and Angelic bosses. I did some extra math and learned that, in an isolated playthrough without the help of others, it would be about a 1/25200 chance to get a void or angelic biome with one of it's respective boss. I don't have many qualms with the caverns and the beneath (BCW's version of the mines) but they are similar to OG Craftwars' mines. In the beneath, you are notified when a rare ore spawns (Moonstone or Forbidden Crystal, which are the 4th tier ores), but the map is quite big, so it's likely you won't find it. That's about all I have to say there. Finally, merchants. Oh man, merchants. Every second, one has a 1/14000 chance to spawn in the overworld. Sometimes they have good stuff, sometimes they have garbage. They have a chance to sell legendaries, and they also have a chance to sell mythical items. There are some items you need for progression in the Gambler class that come from merchants. TL;DR, progression in this game is a whole lot of waiting and doing nothing.

Wow, a lot of information from these comments! Thank you so much! Seems like a lot of that RNG progression is still present from the OG Craftwars, but on paper, to a lesser degree mainly because of Rex/Lux's existence. Seems like I'm gonna be waiting for a long time again. lol

I don’t get why they thought infinite exponential damage would ever be balanced, at least aod is getting reworked now As for the merchants, you can get guaranteed ones from the event but any hardmode item they sell will cost extra aqua tokens which is post gilgamesh

Just a quick tip, use the code Fumo, and equip the item it gives, it increases your luck by a large margin and will basically ensure that you get every common drop from pre hardmode bosses.

​@@SonickFreek8use code Fumo in your inventory where it says "enter code here" and equip it as long as you have it equipped it gives you +2 loot luck so for example a 1 in 5 drop becomes a 1 in 3 drop it only works when you have it in your hotbar

@@SonickFreek8 actually the warbanner item doesn’t but if you use the code “fumo” in your inventory you can get a free one. The others are expensive.

I heard the main path is currently the strongest, but I’ve also heard stuff relating from that main path possibly getting nerfs, the grind is too tedious, or just wait for the next tier for the alt paths. I’ll have to think about that.

@@SonickFreek8 you basically got unlucky and lucky at the same. The shield you got from him will basically be your best friend for many of the bosses ahead. The only advice I can give as of now is that most weapons have their stats based on your rank.

@@Ztarman3 Wait, some weapons have rank-based scaling?? I’m not sure how to feel about that honestly, but still pretty interesting.

@@SonickFreek8 For the most part, those type of weapons are usually coming from rare drops, specifically from the mega bosses, and event items. There are rank caps to avoid the weapons doing some insane damage in like, I guess rank 7500. In short, you shouldn’t worry about rank until you reach hard mode.
