I love how this version of Kingdom Valley starts out with clear skies, gets cloudy during Silver’s section, starts to rain in the 3rd section, and then the Mach Speed Section has extreme rain and water walls It’s such a great level progression, ChaosX is a genius

I like how in this demo Sonic and Silver interact in an in-game engine scene before they go and try to save Elise in Kingdom Valley.

Love all the in-game cutscenes added to this. Also I use the gems on the location you find them. (if you restart the stage you keep the gem so that's how I did it) Crisis City was changed a little in a troll spot xD, so I wanted to show that.

Been following this project for years. The progress made on this is insane. Everything from the better mechanics. Physics and even graphics. Sonic 06 really is gonna be a good game now once it’s fully completed

Without a doubt, Kingdom Valley is the stage that gained the most prominece in this remaster

It makes me so happy when there's a cutscene in the middle of the stage. It's just such an epic and cinematic feeling, I love it

Man just seeing how much the side characters have been improved as well makes me hope they include a “free play” mode where you can play the levels using any character you want.

I like how ChaosX changed the way Sonic and Shadow gets their S rank. Sonic: the traditional get to the goal as fast as you can Shadow: beat up as many enemies as you can while reaching the goal

the flow in his movements is insane. it looks like if someone masters these mechanics, they legit can finish the stage without stopping

With what's going on, everyone is right, this is the best remaster a fan can make. ChaosX is really doing his thing, and the rest of the team is too. I definitely would not mind playing this.

Call me crazy or not sonic 06 is the best sonic game for me because it was the first sonic game I played and it is literally my childhood. Watching this game being remaster brings joy to my soul

This feels like NieR Replicant where they changed the terrible old combat into something very smooth and fun

it’s honestly insane to me how these levels actually become decently fun once the character actually becomes fun to move around with and in turn makes the levels flow really well instead of go on forever in the original with terrible controls and broken physics also the fact they actually made shadow really fun to play blows my mind

If this is what had launched on disc to stores back in 2006, no one would ever criticize story-driven 3D Sonic ever again..

There's nothing that can explain my joy of the little cutscenes mid stage or the Shadow/Silver ones they're just that little touch on so much good shit

Kingdom Valley was always my favorite stage in the original game, and here it’s even better. Plus the small cutscene like section in the beginning just makes it feel even more cinematic

At <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="2441">40:41</a> it seems Shadow managed to surprise himself when he started running faster than Super Sonic but promptly lost control of that speed and hung back hoping Sonic and Silver didn't notice. XD I'm so glad to see ChaosX is still working on this project and that it's making great process. There's a lot of small teams or solo developers who start remastering a Sonic game and shortly afterwards stop for one reason or another. I love seeing the proof of concepts but I'd love to see a finished product even more. :D

This is beautiful. My heart is expanding just watching this. I love your vision of Sonic, how it should've been. The way the camera rotates as he runs along the water walls, and all the other modifications you've brought to it.

This just keeps getting better and better every time I see it! One idea I did have though, is potentially for if you finish a level with another character alongside you (Tails in White Acropolis, Knuckles in Flame Core, etc.), you get the duo/trio doing a unique victory pose together, kind of like in, say, _Tekken Tag Tournament 2_ or _Mario & Sonic At The Olympics._ With Knuckles accompanying Sonic for instance, you could have them finish up with them posing like on the _Sonic & Knuckles_ title screen (or the "Fighting Buddies" picture from _Sonic Advance 3,_ for some potential comedy), and with both Tails and Knuckles, you could have them all doing the Team Sonic victory pose from _Sonic Heroes._ Just a thought, but I think it'd be cool to have!

i love that it wasnt better visuals etc like most modders do it kept the original style and it looks more enjoyable too. The transition into the pose when u complete a stage is neat too and kingdom valley being one of my favorite stages it looks well done and makes the change in weather more clear and more beautiful actually gives me chills.

I'll tell you one thing that this remake NEEDS, and that's the ability to play as every character in multiplayer, I'd even go so far to say to have every character playable when picking a stage to replay

The speed sections in Sonic P-06 like the end of Radical Train and Crisis City is like playing as Movie Sonic with his intense speed. Jesus fuck, you move as fast as driving backwards in Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Imagine if they added a blue trail if you went fast enough

I think my favorite part is the intro to Kingdom Valley, with actual character movement and Silver floating in. It’s so cool compared to the original, where it had nothing at all.

I love how Sonic doesn't just reappear in a different place and has to catch up with Tails and Knuckles in the White Acropolis and Flame Core. However, I think something similar should be done for Silver's section of Kingdom Valley. Instead of having Sonic seemingly appear somewhere else to take over from Silver, why not have him follow Silver before taking over, just like with Shadow in his Aquatic Base level?

One of my favorite additions is that little wind-up animation added to the start of the pole sections, giving you time to adjust.

Not only because this was probably close to what 06 was meant to be, but also we'll most likely never see an official sonic game as big and ambitious as something like this ever again. I really hope ChaosX finishes this project, because it's amazing.

Kingdom Valley looks the most fun; but wow, that shot of the three hedgehogs blazing through the rest stage when Sonic turned super was awesome

Physics is a lot better but it still feels incredibly clunky compared to sonic adventure 2. I think that fixing this aspect is just beyond possibilities. Kudos to the people working on this tho. The dedication is palpable.

I think that's how the game would have been if it wasn't rushed, it wouldn't have bugs, and it would be a finished game that many of the players/viewers would love.
