It's nice to see that Jakks-Pacific is giving some of Sega's more obscure franchises some attention. A few of them have had new games a few years ago, like Streets of Rage 4, and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble (which is coming this year). I'm hoping if these are successful enough, Jakks-Pacific will do more figures based on other obscure Sega franchises. There are many, including Alex Kidd, Billy Hatcher, Bug!, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Ristar the Shooting Star, Samba De Amigo, Shenmue, Shinobi, Toejam and Earl, Vectorman, Wild Woody, and any others I can't quite remember at the moment.

I would love some Puyo Puyo figures personally. However, that series already has a great and vast line of model kits featuring a lot of the cast so I suppose it's not really a priority. Other than that, NiGHTS, Amigo, and Ristar would definitely be my top picks.

Nights and Reala would be awesome to get as figures

Fun fact, the old monkey ball figures from YEARS ago had just a little row inside the ball that you’d stick the monkey onto and it let the ball roll freely. Glad to see they brought the concept back!

I’d love to see ToeJam and Earl action figures as well, but the thing is the original creator Greg Johnson bought back his characters from Sega since 1995, just like how the rights to Shenmue was bought back by Yu Suzuki. But if Jakks Pacific can get Johnson’s permission, that would be great!

Why complain about overall quality when we should be more thankful that these figures even exist at all (or haven't been made in like forever)! Wanting higher quality figures is never a bad thing, but keep in mind most companies aren't even willing to do the cool stuff that jakks is willing to do! Jakks Pacific just checks off too many positive boxes to ever be mad at them for anything! 🧘

I'm curious how Vectorman would translate into a toy. Maybe with a lot of translucent plastic?

It’s awesome to see Altered Beast getting some love here. Definitely hope we get more figures. And a Nights figure would be really amazing. Hopefully we get some Golden Axe, House of the Dead, and Shinobi figures too.

Honestly Jakks has the potential to do a Marvel legends or GI Joe Classified style 6inch action figure line of Nintendo and Sega characters aimed towards collectors, plus it would also be the perfect opportunity to have merchandise of characters that either don’t have any or are too expensive.

I just hope that we get a Jakks figure of Bayonetta

The professor monkey’s name in Super Monkey Ball is called Doctor and maybe they should also do a YanYan figure so I say Jakks goes bananas and starts doing a little monkey business just so they can start making more Monkey Ball figures
