How is an electromagnet made?
When an electric current flows in a wire, it creates a magnetic field around the wire. This effect can be used to make an electromagnet . A simple electromagnet comprises a length of wire turned into a coil and connected to a battery or power supply. wrapping the coil around a piece of iron (such as an iron nail)
3 main characteristics of the electromagnet
Use electric current and coiled wires to produce strong magnetic fields. Change when the direction of the current changes. The strength of the magnetic field increases. - A solenoid with a ferromagnetic core. Electromagnets are very widely used in electric and electromechanical devices, i
Magnetic recording and data storage equipment: tape recorders, VCRs, hard disks.
More items...The coil becomes an electromagnet when a current flows through it. The armature supports the coil and can help make the electromagnet stronger. This makes the motor more efficient. There are two permanent magnets. That corresponds to about 10 kW. Note that the "force" of a magnet depends greatly on the geometry: if you can get really close to the poles over a large area, they work extremely well; but if you are picking up an oddly shaped object, it will be much harder (saturation effects will rapidly come into play).

Plzz make a vdeo using Ac not DC
@SoniSinghPhysics
@SoniSinghPhysics Жыл бұрын
As per my information we cannot make electromagnet with AC current since its polarity alternates because of that we use ac current for demagnetisation. If we can change AC to DC then definitely we can do that. You can suggest any other topic. Thanku
