Well it's kind of true. He's not going to get much stronger than he is now. You should be happy for him that he's nearly maxed out his true potential. That's something that very very few humans will ever do. However, he's no where near his powerlifting potential. Still many more SBD PRs to come.

@@danny4xboy241 This is my biggest pet peeve on youtube lol. Guys in comment sections making comments. Then going back on them later saying it was "sarcastic", or "tongue in cheek". I mean he’s already like 98% there. Very few people get anywhere near their actual potential, and that extra training for that last 2% could take years of absolute maximal training. It takes a toll, mentally and physically.

I have a question about your set up. Your one lifter I try to emulate the style of cuz your so silky smooth but I always struggle with consistency in the first pull of the clean. When you set up for your clean where do you have the bar set up over your foot and do you aim to have you shins in contact with the bar as you initiate the pull?? Thanks for the great content 👍
@matthewmckee6289
@matthewmckee6289 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think the shins should touch. Reason being that it’s important for the bath path to go directly up, or even back off the floor. Having your shins touch could mean the bar has nowhere to go except for forward (depending on positions). It should start as close as possible while still allowing a vertical bar path off the floor. And this might be with it touching your shins, but it also might not be, so you should check the path by recording from the side.
@signs80
@signs80 2 жыл бұрын
Generally even if you start with the bar touching your shins (when it's on the floor), if you're positioned right then your shins will pull back an inch or two before the bar leaves the floor. If the bar is dragging on the shins the entire way up then you either have godlike lats that can push the bar back too hard or you're setting up too much behind the bar and need to get over it more
