Hi, I believe the issue is that the sonoff is not getting enough power when the light is off. The sonoff has to scavenge power off the live circuit. This is not a problem when the light is on, as there is alot of current traveling through the live that it can extract from. However, when the light is off, there is less current travelling through the wire, so it cannot get enough power to stay alive. I had the same issue. My fix was to replace the bulbs in the lights to ones that allowed enough current during the "off" period to work. I replaced the previous hue bulbs with regular LED bulbs.

Yes👍, no problem with classic ZBmini in Philips HUE system. I use this at my home in several places, either in the installation box or directly in the "dumb" (no smart) lamp. I have the same problem. I also have the problem that the state of the lamp isn't fed back into the Hue app.

With ZBMINI you can have the lights work as a room (multiple ZBMINIs). With ZBMINI-L, you can't. However, even with ZBMINI, you can only trigger a single ZBMINI with a motion sensor trigger / automation. But room control with multiple light works.

@@seccarone maybe his using hue dimmer switch version 1 as I only used version 2. He does mention somewhere that’s his removed the switch as it doesn’t work with the app correctly - having the same experience as us. Sonoff now indicated they don’t support this device with hue and even mention not compatible.

I could be wrong, but I think he's able to do it because he added the Sonoff relay as a "light" on his Hue hub, so pressing the "on" or "brighter" button on the Hue switch turns the relay on, which is effectively the same thing as physically flipping the light switch on. One of the main uses for these relays is to avoid the requirement that a physical light switch must be turned on--since the relay sits between the physical switch and the bulb, you can effectively override the switch's physical state via wifi (i.e. using the Hue app, using other smart triggers, etc.)
