WTF?! I bet people are confused as you’re using ground wires to distribute power! The wires (color) chosen for the wall switch is an absolute no-go in a lot of countries, I guess 🙈 Yellow-Green wires should NEVER lead power! If you‘re aiming for international markets, please refer to a more professional setup matchint the certifications (CE) that you already provide…

The S-MATE Extreme is a battery-powered device that doesn't require connection to household power sockets, designed to turn ordinary wall switches into smart switches. To control other smart devices, it must be used in conjunction with an eWeLink Remote gateway device, making compatibility with 15Amps sockets a non-issue

@@SONOFF Thanks for Explaining, I asked because in my house there is a Power outlet without switch and No space for switch in the outlet area, if we need to make switch we have to again drill our wall and make room for it, would this be a good alternative for that? Because inside the Point area we have space for this device to fit in.

Hello, the wiring video for Smate2 is indeed correct. In this video, at the 00:38, we have omitted the step of installing the MINIR4 in front of the light. We sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The video has clear annotations in red, and the wiring diagram shows an additional two MINIR4s. Hence, the wiring tutorial for Smate2 is accurate. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and have taken note of this issue. We will produce a new video detailing the connection between Smate2 and the eWeLInk remote control gateway.
