I was sad at the beginning, but when Charlie, then Ryan, lost it... I got so emotional. And for the guy who called them a "pack of pussies", it takes a real man to be able to show that kind of emotion, especially in front of other men. It takes a coward to hide it and act like you feel nothing. This video made me love and respect these guys even more.

I remember when this first showed. I hadn't been watching the show then. I never had time. I have been binge watching it. I just saw his last scene. I have never had a show make me cry this hard. and it only gets worse. truly heartbreaking but the best show by far.

It had to happen as Opie was the only voice of reason that Jax had left.

Was I sad to see Opie go? yes, he was one of my favorite characters on that show. that being said I am glad it ended the way it did. it had the most effect on the audience. take a character, build him up through the show, make him a fan favorite and when we have taken his character as far as he can go as far as personal growth then its time to kill him. looking at it that way I think Kurt Sutter is a damn genius. I don't think there is any character death I have ever seen that made me as sad as Opie's Death.

It needed to happen. Jax may not have killed himself if Opie was still alive.

What makes this so amazing, the reason.. As someone who chose a similar lifestyle , finding something that shows the brotherhood we build willing to risk your freedom, your life, your sanity for a friend ,that show truly showcased the ups and downs of things we all face not only in the street life, but everyone is at risk of pure pain.. Seeing these boys bond over the rite reasons as brothers is why we smile at our own reasons why we chose the things we did. We all felt the pain at the loss of Opie, knowing we have all had an Opie in our life's we have had to painfully say goodbye to. For them to seal it up as they have together is just another reason why brotherhood over everything is why we stand beside our brothers as we do. Amazing moment to share with us, thank you for allowing us a part of yalls life's ❤❤❤❤ ANARCHY TIL THE DEATH OF ME

Very well said... I cannot agree any more.. I found this show after getting hit on my motorcycle by an elderly driver.. It helped me get riding again - and it helped me in ways I can't explain here.. Just amazing.

You can't really see it in the youtube-version because it's to grainy, but the single tear that falls down Ryan's cheek while Jax starts cuting into his beard is possibly the sadest and most beautiful portion of this clip.

When Charlie and Ryan started to try.. I lost it... It's sad because they're all good friends even off the show and they didn't want to see him go. I know Ryan had a hard time letting go of the Opie character so this is what they did to help him. By cutting off his beard it was like a final farewell to him... Opie was my favorite character on the show and even inspired me to grow out my beard.. I will miss him... R.I.P. Opie... You died a warrior.

I came to watch this after hearing Charlie and Ryan talk about it in an interview. Just to hear them describe the experience and symbolism behind cutting Opie's beard, adds that much more heartbreak to this
