Totally enjoyed this interview.. Besides Sonu Nigam, I also liked Jeet Gannguli as a person, though I haven't listened to much of his work as I have stopped liking and following songs after 2010.

Jeet is a highly talented musician but his name as musician has grown hugely after Ashiqui2 and the song was from Arijit. Interesting, Jeet ranked Arijit 7 out of 10, compared to 100 out of 100 about Sonu Nigam.

From what i have seen..most of Arjit's hit are because of his high pitch notes, like Khamoshiyaan, Janam Janam, Ae Dil Hey, Muskurane and such. Take out the high notes and it is a simple song that any good singer can sing and will do great. But if you look at KK, Rafi, sonu majority is in the low range.

Tufan Das I would just like to justify Why 100 to Sonu and 7 to Arijit by saying- Talent is never judged by popularity. Yes, Jeet became famous after Ashiqui 2 but that doesn't means that he has to rate Arjit more. And as an honest music director, he told the truth.

Arijit in sab senior composer ke samne 7 hi ha. Arijit Singh bahat jyada achha gaate ha par versatile nai ha. Matlab kuch bhi gaana dedo gaa denge aisa nai ha. While Singer like Sonu Nigam can sing even 60 70 years old songs of rafi kishore manna. Are yeh log r d Barman ke sath kam kie ha toh Arijit ko 9 kaise denge?
