I got this lense for 350€ from amazon about a month ago. Best deal i ever found. This lense made me realize how much better primes are compared to zooms

Soundwave I prefer zooms for ease of use, BUT! Primes are often sharper and faster glass. Def if you have time and can carry them all around they are sick. Consider some of the cheaper older vintage glass with adapters. Check out my Helios russian lens video! SWIRLY BOKEH For under $60

@@sweetbabysean Vintage lenses are great. Currently i own the Contax Zeiss 85 1.4, Canon fd 50 1.4, Minolta 50 1.4 and a Helios 44m-5 is in the mail. My photography is a bit on the special/wierd side but if you have a bit of spare time give it a look ^^ flickr.com/people/soundwave857

Thanks! Been trying to find out what people think about the manual focus on this guy. Everyone talks about autofocus, but forgets about manual focus. Very helpful to know it's not great for manual focus.

Yeah it’s like any focus by wire. It doesn’t have hard stops

I am not sure but in B&H photo store it says the product is dust and moisture resistant. I guess it has basic weather sealing but not the higher tier one for extreme conditions.

When there is extremely low light condition you have to go with f1.4

1.4 is too shallow for most things I’d say. But so is 1.8... 2.8 is gonna be the best place to be on both these lenes for video in most low light scenarios

Tbh 2.8 is good enough for low light situations so 1.8 is all you need.

Which is best lens for cinematography and photography for sony crop sensor? Viltrox 85 mm or sigma 56 mm?

Depends on how long you want. The viltrox is super long and the 56 is a little tighter
