I did this particular course with Mark and I would say without hesitation, it was one of the best workshops ever. Mark knows the birds activities so well that we mere mortals get to capture some of these amazing birds. He is a great communicator and it shows in his workshops too! Recommend this to all his fans to visit him, you will love it.

Great reminder of the time I spent with you a few years ago at this amazing place. Some of my best Spoonbill images for sure. I have had the A1 for a few days. I would describe it as "sticky." It seems to stick to the birds like nothing I have ever shot with before which is fantastic. Getting used to the new menu system is challenging, but early days with the camera is impressive. Nesting time in Florida is great. The birds are so predictable flying back and forth gathering and delivering their nesting material.

I'm really looking forward to this - it'll be great to see the settings you're using on the A1. Mark, your videos are always a great combination of beautiful photography and useful techniques and tips!

Mark, I think that I have watched most of your videos and have appreciated your great help. It has been so good to have a fellow bird photog guiding me along while I take the same journey in switching to SONY. This time I used your A9 set-up vid as a guide for the A1 setup. I hope that you could do an A1 set-up for bird photography AND video. I am about to go to High Island Texas for a hopeful bird fallout next week. I will be using the A1, with the 200-600.

I still think that the location/weather/your skill is 95% of the shots, but your point about high frame rate and composition is well made.

Oh my ! - those spoonbills are indeed fabulous, even though I didn't know they could be so gloriously coloured !! I'm loving your photography, Mark: I am a fan of birds, having come to them late in life, and your shots show me birds I will never get to see with my own eyes .. so I thank you sincerely ! The shag swallowing the fish with the loooong sharp 'beak' was a sight to behold. :) Never thought s/he'd do it.

Hi Mark, thank you for the excellent video. I can't wait for your A1 review and also about the settings you propose for BIF with this camera. I have already ordered the sony 200-600 and I'm planning to buy the A1 also (depending on your comments). I have the a7RIV at the moment and use the settings you proposed in one of your videos.

Another great video - superb images and video. I bought a Sony a9 as a lightweight backup to my Canon gear a couple of years ago. I struggled with results until watching your excellent video on setup for the camera. Totally revolutionised what I can do - to such an extent that my Canon gear has just left for a trade in to expand my Sony collection. I shall wait for your next video but seriously considering an a1. I'd be interested to see how these sharp images compare with the Sony 600mm prime. Thank you again - very educational.
