Thank you for another amazing vid, Jason! Your reviews made me bought the ZV-E1 and I really enjoyed using it for my projects so far. I’m actually a hybrid photographer, but more videographer side. And I was surprised by great photo quality of ZV-E1. I didn’t trust that much when you said photos are great for social media, but you were right. I use ZV-E1 over my old A73 even for photography projects now. A6700 has really good values, but low light capability is more critical for most of my projects. I can’t wait for A7C ii. Thanks again for your all detailed reviews. It really helped for making my camera purchase decision. Huge thanks from Canada. 👍

The A6700 seems truly excellent. It's a remarkable machine not only for those creating content on social media but also for certain professional tasks. Now, why on earth didn't SONY make the ALPHA 7IV capable of shooting in 4k 60p without any cropping or even up to 4k 120p? Cheaper cameras with smaller sensors can already achieve that. And we're not talking about an entry-level camera here. Perhaps it's time for SONY to consider updating some of their cameras?

Gr8 vid! 10:35 amazed that the down sampled 6K to 4K a6700 produces a sharper image than the full frame ZV-E1. The pixel peep is appreciated because I'm viewing on a 1080p monitor. FF - same image quality but it adds size & weight to get soft background, angle of view, and low light performance.

New to your channel. I must say the quality of the production and sample footage of the videos taken on the review cameras is excellent and so high quality! Can't see any compression artifacts at all. Your reviews and comparisons of the 6700 have sold me to purchase my first Sony camera coming from Canon and Fuji. Keep up the good work!

Jason I think the Sony A75 will be out mid 2024 or late 2024. And I think the Sony A75 will have to a fan to compete with the Panasonic S5 Mark 2 and Panasonic S5 Mark 2 X. Also i think it will be more inline with the Panasonic S5 Mark 2 X when it comes to the specs and will have the same style flip screen as the Sony A7R5. And i think around the same time the Sony A7S4 will comeout around the same time.

Great points! I have been using the zv-e1 and I have been missing the EVF. I will be looking for the returned/used 6700's less than 30 days from release to see if I can grab a deal. May be selling the ZV-e1... not sure.

So, overheating is a huge concern for a lot of people, unfortunately, this video only briefly mentioned the 6700 has a slight edge over the ZV-E1 😅 I wish you had said a lot more about that. But, of course, as always, fantastic video.

Neither camera would be the your A video cam, which would be FX30 for a6700, or FX3 for ZV-E1. But if you want a do-it-all hybrid camera not only within Sony, I'd say Canon R8 and R6ii are better options.

I still find the ZV-E1 better purely due to it being Full frame and having no crop (4k120 1.1x crop only) only downside to me is overheating but I never had it happen in my use. I also don't miss the EVF tbh.. I always use the very dim lcd.. xD

Is amazing camera zve1 I think also a6700 but honestly I prefer also a photographer side to have mote possibility to shoot something during the night, in some cases this is absolutely amazing, thanks for your work you are the best one when you need to describe the details of some camera 🎉

I plan to get the ZV-E1 as I am into the video thing as I've surveyed some Sony range for quite some time already.

I do really like the A6700 but don't think I can handle the flip out screen, it drove me crazy on the ZV-1, not noticing until editing that I'm looking off to the side in every shot 🤯 I could go all Casey Neistat with sun glasses on but most of my videos are shot indoors... If they could make this camera with a flip up screen I would buy it immediately, but until then I shall make do with the A6600 as there's just nothing wrong with it!

Great video, from one Jason to another LOL. I'm praying to the camera gods for the a7cii, the a7c was my first full frame camera, coming from filming with my iphone only, it helped blow up one of my channels to over 80k subs..Would like to use the a7cii as a main camera and my original a7c as the b-cam. Plus I always feel bad about having 3 good lenses but only 1 of them, which is my 24-70 GMii on my camera. I would probably use either my Sony G 20 1.8 or 16-35 GM on the B camera.

What do you think? Buy ZV-E1 or FX3 ? I really want to wait for the release of FX3 mark 2

APSC is NOT lighter, a full frame 35mm F2 lens can deliver what an APSC 24 mm F1.4 lens can do. ( DOF, FOV , and low light capability considered) and and most of the time, the Full frame lens is lighter. S35 was chosen as standard only because we had to roll the film in the vertical direction back in those days. Thanks for the excellent review otherwise.

I really hesitate between canon r7 and a6700 sony and fuji xt5 so what you say?

I was thinking that the best combo for hybrid shooters is the FX3 for video plus a7rV for stills. BUT, will there be an updated FX3 with the new AI chip included? So in the meantime how about the ZV E1 for video (which will make a very handy B-Cam when the FX3s or whatever comes out) get the 6700 for stills, and hold out for that bigger video cam purchase when it is announced. I was on the fence thinking an FX30 would be the compromise, but I am coming from a7sii full frame, so all my lenses would be 1.5 times tighter so not really happy about that... So many choices, what a time to be alive!

sony a6700 is too defective, so many complaints about overheating, hanging up, random restarts, tons of negative comments on social media..., mine a6700 hanged more times in one week than my a6600 within 2 years... performance is crazy good but its unstable camera and update don't help about it.

ZV-E1 with a shutter and a viewfinder even if it’s crap would have made me buy it. And the A6700 is good, probably will buy it for a camera to go anywhere, but being APS-C makes not want to buy it depending on the price it arrives, because the sensor is not as wide , and I like 12-14mm FE, and sensor doesn’t capture as much light. :c if only A1II or A9III came out, or an A7SIV😢

Try this. Instead of comparing the a6700 vs another camera, take this on a road trip and show us how good of a cameraman you are and what you can do with this a6700. We have had enough tech review. Now let's see what YOU can do with it. I have been shooting photos since 1972 and have used a variety of cameras, the Pentax Spotmatic F, Yashica rangefinder cheapie and twin lens reflex, Canon FTb and my current film cameras the Nikon F2A ad FE2, both retired. I worked for the public affairs office in the USAF. I was a writer, photographer and editor for the base newspaper. I was one of those lucky people who go on the flightline any time I wanted and get pictures of all sorts of aircraft. But in my job, I photographed people our young members maintaining aircraft (fighters, bombers, cargo). Didn't matter what camera we used, it was skill. I think it's about time to get on the skill bandwagon and who how anyone can take great pictures with a cheap to expensive camera. We all can read the specs, we've been bombarded with review after review. Now, let's get to the real thing, the Art of Photography.
