Hah. It’s very nice camera. If canon starts actually allowing proper 3rd party glass though, it’ll be a very even world again

Great video. Did you know there is a way to get AF face tracking to jump between faces in the frame. You programme the joystick to select face to track. It is very fast and efficient.

There's that menu item to set different picture profiles in photo and video! I forgot to get instructions after asking about it.

I’ve been to that black-sand beach in Vick and I have to say the weather conditions were quite different ! It was windy as hell and we could barely stand. Trying to take pictures of the sea stacks, my Fuji 18-55 came back full of sand for pictures that turn out quite crappy. 😢 great video. Now I shoot on an A7R5 and I love it. If Nikon had been faster to come out with the Z8, that would have probably been my new camera. But that the way it is. First I switched to Fuji because Nikon had no viable mirrorless camera and now to Sony because they’ve been too f….slow ! I’m ranting sorry. Anyway A7R5 great camera. Too expensive but great camera.

I bought a A7R5 a couple of weeks ago, along with the Tamron 20-40. I was a bit worried if I'd like it coming from Nikon, but Im very happy with it so far. I use Capture One and the files are very nice.

@@victoriapeeva2573 because the A7R5 answered a lot of the doubts I had about Sony. The AWB is actually useable - rear screen design is very useful. Also the Tamron 20 - 40 with the 40 being really a 60mm at 27mp, this range suits me perfectly

@@lewcehjitl3282 Nikon released plenty of quality mirrorless cameras in the past 5 years. Let us know what exactly is wrong with the z6II, z7II or Z9 :D

I left Nikon for Sony too. I left quite a while ago and started at a9. I just got the a7r5 and so far not disappointed. We will see how it does when I start my wedding season. :)

what about weather resistance? i live in florida dealing with tons of humidity like in a steam room. do i have to be worried?

I am glad to here about battery life as in some groups that is a complaint. Also another note that keeps showing up is the camera locking up. I have not experienced it yet, did you have any issues when shooting with it? I am so excited I took the leap and bought the V.

I’ve had many many lock ups with the a74, but none that I can remember with A7RV

@@TaylorJacksonPhoto interesting! I had zero lockups with my dual A7IV’s for over a year. 3rd party lenses maybe? Did you have lockups with GM glass too?

Would v60 cards be ok in this camera for hybrid shooting or is it worth saving up for v90's?

I haven’t tried the v60s I don’t think, so can’t really comment. I will try tho. I ordered some. I’m also going to try the very expensive CFExpress route

Dude, I only use v30 and have ZERO issue. Yes, you have to wait a little sometimes after taking multiple pictures, but that is actually rare. Ask yourself how many times you need to take 1000 pictures in 5 minutes.

You can change lenses and there are two card slots. So I’d say it’s a much better camera for weddings. Q3 could be a nice second camera though

I love it especially the SONY A7RIV. However, everytime I shoot, feels like I am not comfortable. Feels like Im carrying a toy with that shutter sound.

For wedding photography (not video just photography) - do you think it's worth the price upgrade to go from Sony A7IV to Sony A7RV? I've heard sony A7IV is actually better for low light events as well?

Hi if you set the cam to APSC, will the low light performance improve compared to full frame bc of the lower megapixels?

No when you crop your aperture gets smaller.

I'm in your wedding education course and had one question. On the A7iv, When shooting hybrid, do you switch the dial from photo to video mode each time you do a video or do you just use the record button in photo mode? My reasoning is that if I am not in PP11 in photo, then it won't record in PP11 unless I switch over to video mode. Therefore I am taking photos in PP11 so that quick videos can be in it. I just bought this A7iv, but maybe I should go ahead and return to get the a7v if that is a better feature.

I think all Sony cameras are the same for it sadly. I’m going to message a product specialist and see if there’s a workaround for it

@@TaylorJacksonPhoto Ok, awesome. So currently do you just shoot photo in PP11 too? I have done it past few sessions and haven't seen a difference in my editing. Or have you been switching modes from camera to photo to avoid using PP in photo?

Also. So cute! I’m glad you caught that on video. I’m willing to bet money that the photo to video mode was as easy as a click of a button with zero buffer. Sony.
