Canon has started making cameras that overheat and Sony makes a camera that actually works better.

BullFrog I think once canon comes out with lower bit rates and crop modes, it’ll get better for video, but for stills it’s the best there is r5

@@marioslrzn It'll help to an extent, but at the end of the day I think Sony will still stay on top for video. Myself, I'm going for an R6 to finally replace my 7DMKII for stills. The R5 and R6 are going to be the best stills cameras around in their price points, but these days video is equally important for sales, and theres no denying Canon screwed that up chasing after the 8k gimmick.

Now if we can only figure out how to beat Covid-19 and get back to our gigs!!!!!!!!

For sure - and they it is even better they have different views of the market. Canon is going after the hybrid shooter market and Sony is trying to target specific style shooters. Either way we win - there is something for everyone.

@@ayayoutuber nope, a cellphone doesnt take better photos than a camera no matter how low the megapixel it got. Resolution is not as big of a factor as you think.

I don’t care what the FF reso is, but if Super 35 mode can be at least 16MP then whatever that is in FF I’ll take it. Don’t want heaps of MP as I’d rather a low light beast

Am always confused if take Canon or nikon in my hands...am disappointed by their menu system. I mostly shoot on Sony. Just learn to know your camera and you can deal with it.

Put a tape over it that says ARRI and the quality quadruples. Easy fix. I'm pre ordering anyway.

The easy solution is to control your lighting instead of blurring the hell out of the background lol, and then you have that movement latitude.

They are not gonna do that.. users already get used to the previous menu system.

anubisdragoon Sony are pretty bad for updating older models so they aren’t going to do that. To be honest, I never had a big issue with the old menu system. You just assign what you need to the quick menu or whatever button and then only a few options might need menu access.

Ryan Stark yeah, I've been hoping for an A7R IV update for awhile now but Sony is so slow. IL sure the pandemic has slowed things down as well.

@@ryanstark2350 Sony gave us some reasonable upgrades in the past, whether that be to AF or bit depth. Not quite to the level supported by Olympus, but not bad. Time will tell.

Ivan Phan Autofocus bro - been through so many cameras and said if the Canon video autofocus was on a Song I would get it. I also set a 5D Mark III with magic lantern had dual pics a lot of focus I would get it.

@@Luke-bt4do yeah, on FroKnowsPhoto channel, many photographers complain why it's only 12MP. I mean, it's for videos not stills.

@@fritzkier Nobody is buying the a7s III for stills and pretty much everyone accepts that, whereas video people are complaining constantly that this or that camera doesn't have some feature. Flip screen, video codecs, HDMI ports, overheating - they're stills cameras, none of it is a big deal.

NO, you are right. Very bad in-camera stabilization for vertical movement.

As long as it’s using gyroscopic data, atleast there’s a chance for it to improve through firmware. I’m curious how the post-stabilisation software results will be.

Yup skin tones looks a little off.... typical for Sony - there's an ugly red-purple tint like a skin rush

@@nagual2335 To be fair, it seems to be user error. Haven't seen this bad in other A7S III reviews. I am sure they are fine.

Could be the color grading or lens used that makes the difference. I believe they were using the Canon RF 50 which is like the god of lenses.

Yep, MUCH better R5 and R6, but R5 seems a little bit better than R6 in my opinion.

Same for me - but in the end the r5 seems to be unusable for every decent videographer with the overheating issues and no option of redundant recording...

I liked these colors better. The grading was also quite pleasing. Canons make white people look too red for me.
