This was the first film to use the new Columbia Pictures logo commemorating the studio's 100th anniversary, with a computer-generated animated version of the "Lady with the Torch" iconography.
During the Sony logo transition to this logo it was glitch to the 1968 Columbia Pictures logo briefly.

Yes, and there is also all of the older Columbia Torch Lady logo designs are 1924, 1928 (the 1928 design has reminds me of The Three Stooges films), 1936, 1955, 1968, 1976, 1981 (the 1981 design had known for Annie, first two Ghostbusters films and first three of The Karate Kid movies) and 1993 (the 1993 design was known for 1995 Bad Boys movie and it's 2003 sequel, the 1997 Men in Black movie and it's 2002 sequel, Stuart Little's 1999 movie and it's 2002 sequel and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man), giving the legacy of the own Columbia studio for 100 years. I came back here after seeing ifrequire’s video of the logos and it looks like on the streaming prints, the Sony/Columbia Pictures logo has the glitching variant removed. So it looks like that variant might be the reason why this movie was a box office failure and that might be why they decided to remove the variant from the logo for the streaming prints.

“Madame Web” (February 14th, 2024). The Sony/Columbia Pictures logo briefly glitches to the 1968-1976 version of the 1936-1976 logo at the beginning. The Di Bonaventura Pictures logo doesn’t appear in this movie although they are mentioned in the credits. This is Columbia Pictures’ first movie to use the new 100th Anniversary logo and this is Marvel’s second movie to use the In Association With variant of the 2002-present logo with the regular flipping page sound effects other than “The New Mutants” (August 28th, 2020) and this is also Di Bonaventura Pictures’ first movie together with Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment. And this is also Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment’s first movie to use both logos with their fanfares together.

Okay, first was Ghost Rider, then Spider-Man: Far From Home, then Venom: Let There Be Carnage and now Madame Web was the fourth Marvel Movie to had the Columbia Pictures fanfare on it. Wow this was the fourth time to have the Columbia fanfare on the Marvel movies. Also, there is a 1968 logo went glitches from the Sony/Columbia logo briefly (skip here at 0:27 to show the 1968 logo here), cause the film was set in 1973.

Imagine Sony switched the release date of Madame Web with Across the Spider-Verse!! (Would have been cool seeing it with the 100 years intro instead!! Speaking of which, I wonder if Sony will also do a short movie where they celebrate 100 years just like Disney did!!)

Well... considering that Disney had mostly animated movies, they made a short with their animated characters in their own styles. Sony... doesn't maybe when we reach 100 years for Sony Pictures Animation but... I dont think so... They might just do a logo and a video like what Warner Bros. did

Wow, that’s so cool how you get to see your first time seeing a movie with the 100 anniversary logo. I’m not going to watch Madame Web but I know I will watch other Columbia movies this year that have the 100 year anniversary landmark. There are other good movies waiting like Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, Garfield, etc.

Yep. I respect your opinion on this movie. This is the first one of 2024 to use the 100th Anniversary logo. Not counting the re-release of “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” (June 2nd, 2023) since that one originally had the 2022 version of the 1993 logo.

I think the reason why the movie did bad is because they put a second glitch in the middle of the centennial logo. They could’ve held the centennial logo off until Garfield. They could’ve glitched the Sony part and it would be fine.

Movie is already a flop regardless of the logo's variant. There are many movies with a studio's modified anniversary logo that are huge Box Office successes. Blame the terrible marketing.

Yes, that is why the Columbia Pictures celebrate on it's centennial with the new logo previously revealed on November 14, 2023 and posted the animation on January 10, 2024 showcasing the older logos in the same vein as Spider-Verse films the 100 years of Columbia Pictures.

Here's the theory/conspiracy: Columbia's Granddaughter, Sony has some terrible and horrific flashbacks about the 1963 incident of John f. Kennedy assassination, she later ends up being stuck in her mind. Her grandmother comforts her.

It’s to go with the theme of the movie. Madame Web has the power to see what just happened in the future in seconds out of nowhere. Hence why you see the retro Columbia logo in the middle of the glitch.
