I also use the AX33 on my channel and love it. The AX-53 also gives you tru 16;9 recording within the lens and sensor. That's probably the biggest different between the AX33 and AX53

If you still havren't tried it, you can use the Play Memories app. It's not perfect, but it's a great option to use without buying more gear. I have it on an iPad and iPhone. It's great so far.

If the camera comes with a Bluetooth you can use the mobile app to control the camera, or Wi-Fi to view your video in your network if you have one. Setting a home network is really very easy.

maybe is ntsc and pal, my rx10 2 in pal does only 24 fps, when i switch to ntsc i have 30 fps

Danny Nowak I'd say be diligent with folders Year/month/day with brief description. This has worked for me. And back up everything on a separate external drive so you have it all on two drives at all times.

With my mini-DV tapes, I would often gather the family and watch an hour long tape of my boys growing up- Do you know of an application or system where I could just pick a bunch of clips (ie Bozo's Birthday') and play them smoothly and consecutively? Basic home movie watching. I've tried VLC, iMovie, iTunes and MacMediaPlayer but they all add a wee glitch or freeze frame between shots. Annoying.

Mick Carson - no it doesn't have any of those things. Just a SD CARD UHS-I , pen doesn't come with it, but it works well with just fingers

@@mikewinburn Yes, I bought it and not as happy as the with the Panasonic NV-GS400, heavy, sturdy, solid and easy to use. This tiny crap is like a smartphone and by the time you set it to take a shot the interesting part to record is already gone. Plus, focussing on a subject at close-up takes ages, at times it doesn't focus at all unless you pull back the camera and try again. Really difficult to film fishes in aquarium, even when they are still. Focuses better on the plants in the background than the fish in front. I think the camera focus sensor is too wide to sense smaller objects in front. You can't even record algae on the glass with clarity. Whereas, with the Panasonic (NV-GS400) you can. Plus, when using the Smartphone App to set and zoom, the zoom has one speed, you can't zoom slowly or fast. So you have to do it on the camera to zoom slowly, which then caused the shakes. The zooming switch on the camera is too small and sensitive and zooms quick even on the slightest finger movement, whereas with the Panasonic is less sensitive and better control, not as catchy. As the years go by the cameras are getting smaller than your fingers can handle, on the controls that is, and we know that fingers don't get any smaller. Waste of money on a cheap looking crap. Here is the trusty Panasonic. It sure does :) I just popped the cover off by accident the other day. I've been shooting some amazing bird videos lately. The color reproduction is top notch, but my favorite feature is the auto-stabilizing.
