Had to pin this, this is the way that we need to think. We shouldn't be scared of taking risks and yes ..there's people out there who would trade lives with us more fortunate people in a heart beat. It's ok to feel down, just don't stay there too long.

I think you're right. I had an absolute blast the last two days filming a review of the new BENQ gaming projector - full filmmaker style, got my son in and filmed multiple angles and focal lengths into a "skit" intro and edited it dare I say the word "cinematic" - instead of a chore, it felt like fun again... Although I'm pretty much alone over here in Oz, it's nice to interact with fellow creators across the ocean.. and you're one of the channels I watch pretty much every video... @@Altcine

@@Altcine I’m not 100% sure about this, but I think that the audio handle connector is a digital connection, and the Analog to Digital conversion happens in the handle. This explains why no one has created a solution in 3 years, as well as why the audio handle itself is so expensive. This is pure speculation, so don’t take my word for it, but it makes sense to me.

@@mannysantics1833 you could very well be right. It's either all those other PCB in the handle are just for buttons and control but I fear you may be right 😔

@@Altcine they seemed unimpressed with the idea and are totally unaware of it being a massive complaint (if not the only REAL complaint) from the FX6 market… considering it was essentially a sold out camera for basically two years, I would say it’s a pretty decent sized niche market. I wouldn’t know how to make something like this happen and I’m not really in touch with any DIY community… but it would seem like it’s something that wouldn’t really be rocket science. If you don’t tackle this perhaps you could find someone in your sphere who would… I would bet money on it being an instant hit… at least till it totally saturated the user base.

@@Altcine my only other guess is perhaps they feared digging to far into Sony patients… but they already pressed their luck on the hot shoe tech in the virso (tbh it doesn’t work very well as it has some very poor gain staging issues which may be the issue that caused them to put the product as is and dump further attempts at doing anything like a audio adapter🤷🏻‍♂️). Never say never, but I don’t think the solution will come from godox, and if it has the issue the virso s has… I’ll pass.

@@Vitaphone bro it seriously is the only thing wrong with the camera. It's the closest thing to the perfect camera I've ever used but that audio 😭 how can Godox not see this as a big thing is beyond me. The main issue I have is the parts. I think the part I showed in the video is correct but the seller hasn't gotten back to me yet. In theory It's just a matter of finding the pins to one XLR and wiring them to a 3.5 and I think it'll do the job to create a tiny box. I'll keep looking into into it and message the seller again.

@@Altcine no camera is perfect, but the FX6 is jack of all trades, and in an era where pretty much every moderately priced camera yields a fantastic image but often come with a lot of other trade offs, I will hands down take an FX6 with a fixed audio source for everything where I don’t have a camera crew to operate… it’s not even close in its price bracket to anything else. Does Arri have better color science? Certainly… but 10bit slog is plenty flexible, Does Red have a more flexible actual raw codec with great compression ratios? Absolutely… but they are both far more expensive and really are not ideal for solo shooters. Internal ND’s and fantastic (more or less) dual native ISO for both low and high key scenarios with a very small footprint and dedicated buttons for most of they key settings is truly flexible for solo, run and gun or small crew settings… and frankly unless I’m working on project where clients have a preference for Red or Arri I don’t have a desire to shoot on anything else. But hey, I shot on Canon 5d/7d/t2i all the way till I got an A7sii and original Black Magic 4K, and I just bought my Fx6 last year… so I don’t believe in buying new gear to buy new gear, I have no problem renting other gear when needed, but cameras are just a tool and I think a lot of folks get caught up in marketing and KZfaq influencer hype.

Yeah that Mi is proprietary 😔 it's a shame because even the Panasonic audio module can be extended with a £20 adapter. Even the rear Lanc cable on the fx6 is weird. You have to buy a special one for a Ronin/FX6 combo. The cable I've got in my build isn't even designed for Sony...the Sony didn't work. I had to go through about 15 cables for all manufacturers until I found one that worked....it's crazy!

Hi mate, I got the skin from AliExpress...just search fx6 skin vinyl. You can even get them in a similar body colour as the fx6 just to keep the body fresh.
