I've actually had a lot of fun with the 24 on my FX3. It's pleasant to use for video. Has character, and does well with the low MP sensor. A little dreamlike.

Is the 24mm 2.8 decent for landscape photography? I can't decide between this one amd the 20mm f1.8 which is better but also bigger and heavier to carry on long hikes.

Either would do me fine. If it’s for long hikes I’d probably take the 2.8

Would love to see you try the new Samyang 24mm f1.8, I’ve been hearing great things about it 🤓

This series needs a Sony 135mm f4 G lens. Think of street photographers like Saul Leiter, Fred Herzog...

Hey Chris I know this is an old video but I wanted to reach out and ask a question! Hoping u can help. I have the Sony a7iii with the Sony 24mm 1.4 GM and I have started shooting in AP mode. The issue I'm having is that i can't get my camera to focus on the subject like I used to. I'm getting a lot of blur in the photos. I tried doing the minimum shutter on 250 but still not able to focus (and sometimes despite putting it on this setting, my shutter speed still drops really low). Are there any specific settings u use for focusing? Thanks ☺

I can hear a slight hiss. It’s because I wasn’t using my zoom. Straight into camera. Need a new one

I have 85mm 1.4 gm lens & 35mm gm 1.4 lens. I love them so mush because they have so nice bokeh!!! But I can`t see any reason to buy these f2.8/2.5 because they have no bokeh at all!!! Picture looks like taken on my smartphone. I really don't like it at all (sorry for my English)

Chris! Would you make your video less 'sharp'? reason is because, your beard appears too sharp/detailed in the video which is kinda distracting and unusual, kind of like "nylon" strings reflected under a directional light. almost like someone turning up the 'high pass' in photoshop wayyyyy over 10000%.
