Congratulation Irfan, you will enjoy this Home-theather without any doubt, I am few of the lucky ones who didn't have this audio dropout since I bought this, I also run two separate networks 5ghz and 2.4Ghz, all my audio and video devices are connected to 2.4Ghz network, and my router is 200 feet away from the TV and Home theater system. According to Sony you have to follow these steps to fix this If the issue occurs, follow these troubleshooting steps - in order - to see if the issue is resolved: Set the RF Channel to Off, then back On: Select Setup → Advanced Settings → Speaker Settings → Wireless Speaker Settings → RF Channel to Off, then set to On. Notes: We recommend the RF Channel setting is set to On (default setting: On). The Sound Bar automatically selects the best channel for transmission when RF Channel is set to On, which makes it stronger against wireless interference. If the sound issue persists, try to turn Off the setting. It may take 1 minute to reconnect after you change the RF Channel settings. The frequency setting is deleted after disconnecting the power cord. If you disconnect the power cord for some reason, switch RF Channel from Off to On again. Set the Wireless Playback Quality to Priority on Stable Connection: Select Setup → Advanced Settings → Speaker Settings → Wireless Speaker Settings → Wireless Playback Quality, and set it to Priority on Stable Connection. Set the distance between a wireless LAN router and the control box: Install the control box and speakers at a distance of at least 1.5 m (5 ft) from any wireless LAN router (a). Note: The issue may be also improved by changing the wireless LAN router antenna’s direction or angle.Example of installing the control box and speakers Check the control box installation condition and wireless environment: If a device that generates electromagnetic radiation is nearby, such as a wireless LAN device or microwave oven, move the speaker system away from that device. Turn off any other wireless LAN devices that are not in use to reduce the interference, and then check to see if the issue is resolved. Note: If the issue is resolved, change the network connection of the peripheral device from wireless LAN to wired LAN, if possible. The control box and speakers are installed too far away from each other. Bring them closer together. If there is any obstacle between the control box and speakers, remove or move the control box and speakers away from the obstacle. Do not install the control box too far back on a shelf. Install the control box in or on a shelf so that the front panel display is not hidden. Move the control box, change the direction of the control box, or install the control box far away from a TV. Interference between the network connection and speaker connection may occur. Try one of the following: Change the wireless LAN connection of the control box and the router to a wired LAN connection. Switch the band of the wireless LAN router to 2.4 GHz, then set up the wireless network connection between the speaker system and the wireless LAN router again using a 2.4 GHz band. Reset the speaker system. Note: For details on how to reset the speaker system

Hey Irfan, About the audio drop out issue: All the 4 speakers work through a wifi network which creates the phantom surround sound and it requires a strong wifi connection with no interference I have the same model and even I faced the similar issue and was able to fix following the troubleshooting below 1. Use 2.4 GHz connection on the receiver which has a stronger signal compared to 5 GHz. 5 GHz is primarily used for high speed connection and sound system doesn't require that 2. Keep the Sony receiver at least 1 meter away from the router to avoid wifi interference

About the disconnection issue: Both Bluetooth and Wifi use the same 2.4 GHz frequency which causes a lot of interference when placed close to each other or sometimes even when they are in the same room! This is not a problem with the product but a problem with the bluetooth and wifi technology itself. Best fix would be to use a 5GHz router with 2.4GHz turned off and this will definitely fix the issue right away. Another solution would be to use a "5GHz only" mesh wifi system which improves both wifi connectivity and speed while eliminating any and all interference with bluetooth, however, such a mesh wifi system comes at a cost. Hope this is helpful!

if u really love home theatre setup maybe can try separate setup like av receiver with separate speakers.. all in one speakers usually won't create those impact.. Try to get denon, yamaha or marantz av receiver 5,2,4 setup or 7,2,4 setup. 7 surrounds 2 sub and 4 atmos speakers. Try brands like svs brand speakers one of high quality speaker maker,svs brand have high quality speaker and chest thumping subwoofer but costly.. Best subwoofer will be jl phantom

Bluetooth uses 2.4 Ghz band for transmitting signals. And wifi is available in 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz so to get this disturbances off to the enjoy proper sound turn off 2.4 Ghz for this reason in the modem and router. Since now a days all the phones are equipped with 5ghz support.

You should have bought a Yamaha/Onkyo Atmos receiver and done a 7.2.1 with JBL or Klipsch speakers and got real Atmos effect without virtual sound. There's a huge difference between virtual sound and sound coming from actual ceiling speakers with Atmos. Also the sony speakers you bought doesn't have a centre channel and also wireless connection for home theater is not good. Wired is always the best for optimal sound quality.

@irfan bro even i have same problem,you need to update the firmware it will reduce it alot, but you will still notice it on KZfaq videos once in a while all other OTT works fine for me now

Regarding that disconnect issue I had the same problem Later I found it's config issued In Sony remote (I think you connected with earc cable) press Home button, go to setup, go to advance setting, speaker settings, wireless speaker settings, link mode choose auto That's it

Hi Irfan, About the sound drop out issue, the problem is with your TV. LG has this issue where the externally connected speakers keep breaking sound. I noticed the same issue with your Sony GT-700 too. I have personally faced and have seen other online reviews which mention the exact same issue. Please be careful when you buy an LG next time. Their glitchy software is something their sales executives don't talk about.

Nothing can change traditional AVR, , spending 2lacs is utter waste, I would recommend Denon, Marantz, Yamaha AVR's , in 2lacs you can get awesome theatre experience

I used to have same problem back in 2017 especially when you connect the sound system through ARC, Sony attended the complaint twice and they’re showing Wi-Fi and other stuff as a reason, I didn’t give up, while raising the complaint for 3rd time they’d to change a board in the TV, then the issue got arrested. Speak to customer care about it. It’s a hardware issue.

I was about to comment on sound breaking issue, already a lot of detailed explanations with solutions.. 💯✌ Try to use 4K UHD Blu Ray, which has uncompressed Atmos and DTS. For OTT, use HDMI eARC via TV or DTH set top box. Avoid bluetooth for surrround sound.. If 1 or more WiFi router at home, reduce WiFi strength, like limiting only for downstairs. Upstairs seperate router.. interference will be reduced I feel.

The drop is due to the wifi router , rode wirles microphone....its all may work on 2.5 ghz frequency and due to which frequencies my mix up and create this drop

I have faced this audio ghosting - completely silent suddenly for say 1 second often... in JBL. It's related to settings.. I forgot how I fixed it.. but it's fixable. Definitely sony won't have idea. Check with some audiophile guys
