Sir, thank you very much for this video and explanation. I am from Kerala. Our TV's problem was with that 1.8v testing point, it has some leakage with ground. So, I found a pair of capacitor with this ground resistance, and removed them. One of them was short. After removing, our problem was solved. Now, our TV is working fine. You have done an awesome job which even our authorized sony centre technician was failed and he recommended to but the "main board", which was worth Rs.9000. The fact is that there wasn't any problem with the main board. U saved our TV and money. Now I am looking for a spare for the removed capacitor. Once again Thank you sir...Subscribed your channel now...

Basically, this is what is to be done. Power On your set. Locate power chip on main board. Check datasheet for output voltage pins and use DMM to check for Vin/Vout. If all is normal, fault lies with TCon board. TCon board checks Power supply to TCon is 12V. Points to check on Tcon board is Von, Voff, Hvdd, Avdd. Associated reference voltages can be found online. If voltages not present, Tcon board is faulty. Either perform troubleshooting to do component replacement or replace board altogether.

Before do anything else take the tv and heat the back side with dryer. Winter time issue. Due to cold environment. Works for me.

Used hair dryer for 5-10 minutes to blow hot air in vents on back panel and tv started normally without 5 times red light blinking

@@rikkeynegi2434 yes but it's temporary solution as problem comes back next morning or some days later. Another solution I am using is instead of power off tv at night I am doing picture off from action menu at night.

@@lokeshp1929 permanent solution for me was replacement of t con board with original one. Identify original t con board when you restart tv sony will come written. In duplicate T-con sony won't come written on restart tv.

Me too faced the same problem (5times blinking) I tried many ways but nothing works. After 2 day again I tried to switch on. To my surprise it's working fine now. How is it possible. Can anybody explain.
