Sony MDP-333 Laserdisc Player Disc Won't Play - FIXED

7 ай бұрынI ordered this player from eBay as a parts only model. When I got it in, the tray would not open and the laser assembly did not want to lift without assistance. I replaced the belt, fixing the first issues. Then, it was onto getting discs to play. I go over adjusting pots and point out where they are. Thanks for watching!

So far this worked for my Sony MDP-333. I pretty much was dead in the water for CAV discs and CLV discs had a hard time starting up. But this resolved all of it. Only other issue is scanning on a CAV disc causes it to trip out and stop playing. I may have to adjust more than the focus at that point, the tilt perhaps? I have not tried.

Nice fix! I look forwards to the AC3 Mod video as i've heard the Sonys can be picky with really low RF levels that make a lot of normal mod boards not work as they need an amplifier.

Unfortunately this didn't work for my sony mdp-k8. Now the buttons are unresponsive, the laser isn't moving like it was before and the unit is now a doorstop. I put the pots back to their original spot but no good
