Seems that I was wrong about it being a software issue, which could be fixed by a firmware update, which I had originally read but Sony have said that they have fixed the problem now and that they are able to make an 'adjustment' to the cameras (during the warranty period) which have this problem. I still don't like the feel of the camera though, It is not as accessible as I would like.

i have always been a fan of the olympus. i think its more a charm thing that appeals to me, and the 12mm f2 is actually superb. but if your only looking at the numbers then the sony will always have the edge. have you considered the rhico interchangeable mount camera?

Mmm I dunno both are nice. The Olympus has ALLOT of lenses for instance. The NEX though well it has less but with the right adapter then it certain can work. Sadly with the adaptar + good lens it looks like a frankenstein monster. For size/quality reason Olympus. It is just a more grown up system.
