If your turning your Sony TV on and you see you have no internet with a message that says WiFi disconnected, check out this video for a few possible solutions. In the TV, there are four main things to try to possibly solve this.
1) Reset your Sony TV
2) After reset, during the TV setup, agree to all privacy settings from Google & Sony
3) Turn on Simple IP control in the TV settings
4) Change the WiFi network your TV is connected with to a 2.4GHZ network instead of 5GHZ
Other things to try not related to TV settings would be:
1) Restart your modem & router
2) Check for a firmware update in your modem/router
3) Change the channel your router is transmitting on

Thanks for the tips! I did a restart on the tv and that fixed it as well. Wanted to avoid doing the factory reset.

Thanks for this. Started Having the same issue on my x90j since last couple months although a hard restart fixes that momentarily but it gets very annoying in the long run. Hopefully trying these fixes will work.

Just a reminder, a hard reset deletes all your tv settings. Best to write down your TV settings you made after receiving your new TV.

I had the same problem. A hard boot solved the problem for me, without having to do that intimidating factory reset!

allowing all the things you did after the factory reset does not affect this issue at all, only gives Google and Sony more of your data. Hold down the power button on the remote and restart the TV. Enabling simple IP control may help

My tv wireless network disable and i cant find anyting on my tv to enable it. When i turn on my wifi its turn off automatically after few seconds.. Even i reset my tv and again it happens.. My tv is not connecting to any network pls help

I face this issue frequently. But the major problem that I face is that whenever I try to connect to the wifi,after I enter the password , the tv asks me to check wifi password and try again. I have tried it so many times now that I have now memorized the crazy wifi password.

Yes I have the same problem in my 8500G from the day I purchased it and it is driving me mad! It’s so annoying because you can not flip the WiFi switch over because it flips it back to off. I have restored this to factory settings but am still getting this issue. ☹️

Factory resets fix it for like 30min and then it happens again. is it software or hardware issue? I am going to buy Google Chromecast and see if it works.

Would you be able to show a test on video in a dark room for blooming in sdr and dolby vision I heard there is very bad bad blooming especially on the horizontal black bars in movies

My Hisense HiSmartTV A4 Version 9 is doing the same thing. I’ve only had it for almost 2 years now. Is this normal for the tv to start having problems like this already. At first I thought it was my interest with Comcast so I upgraded to a higher speed and added some security they were offering but it’s still doing the same thing. Upon checking I’ve noticed if I open up the Wi-Fi setting and just wait and watch, it will turn on and then off every 1min or so. No other devices in my home have internet connection issues so it tells me it is definitely the tv. I guess I could try a direct wired connection to the internet? Thanks for your video though :)

i spent like 800 on this huge fucking tv and it does that shit every time then they wanna update it every couple months but never a update to FIX THIS SHIT
