As an owner of the crushers since their first version, I can really say that there is nothing out there that can compete in terms of bass. I had the first version of beats studio, that was the cleanest bass I've ever heard in some headphones, however, the crushers really do pound your head. No joke, you can see the frame of your glasses shake sometimes, feel your ear wax vibrate in your ears. It's crazy and I love them. They're loud but obviously they won't be your best for fidelity. I have the sony xm4 as well, got them free with my xperia 1. I honestly do not know what the fuss is about. They have exactly 2 qualities. Crisp audio and insane noise canceling. They make you feel like you are inside a grave. The touch commands are a cool trick but not enough to leave the bass of the crushers behind. The battery is the same on both pairs of headphones. I have never heard so little bass as on the xm4 ever. It sounds horrible to me. You can distinguish every detail, but there is literally 0 bass. If the xm5 are similar, I wonder how much bass the ult have by comparison?

@@Neopumper666 I had the skullcandy skull crushers, which were their first generation, they had an AA battery amplifier on the cord and it was a little bit ridiculous, I had the second gen which they did in Bluetooth and they were called crushers and now I have the 3rd gen crushers evo (the ones flossy has). I don`t think I could use them more or abuse them more as I use them outside, inside, in the rain or cold, they are bulletproof and sound amazing. For someone that likes bass, you don`t care about the fakeness, you just want your head to rattle, and they do that very successfully. I didn`t try the ANC ones, I wonder if they are any better. Hopefully they bring a new generation out. What I would like to hear is more fidelity. I want the sounds to be a bit more defined. At the moment they have this huge heavy bass that is like a car sub, it`s great but could be better in fidelity. I love the Idea though and nobody seems to compare in actual bass power.

Which ones are the best out of the two you have I'm looking into buying the skull Candy's 2s. Are the evos better? Thanks

If you haven't bought yet. I hear alot of people say the quality sound the evos are better but dont have noise cancelation. I have the evos and with equalizer they are more then loud enough. Good highs and midst as well as bass. If I put the on the counter they will vibrate off ​@GavinMufclee

I watch his reviews for things I don't even plan to buy. He's that good and entertaining to watch.

They're insane. I compare them to my old XB900n's and their isn't much difference at all. One of the best value headphones on the market, a must if you're a bass head on a tight budget.

@@keithpalacios9417 im enjoying them a lot tbh, charged em when I bought them and I’ve listened for at least 10hrs so far and the battery is 80% which is very surprising I’m liking the sound a lot but don’t use the ULT modes that much. The Sony app is defo recommended because I used it to tailor the tuning to my liking and I actually love them now Pretty comfortable too I can’t really compare it with anything because these are my first overhead headphones but I’m defo happy with my purchase

If you want the top of the line ANC headphones, you can’t go wrong with the Bose!

@_humanoid_4k233 I also have the samsung galaxy buds 2 pro. The buds don't work nearly as good as the over ear xm5's. The xm5's also don't create a strange pressure in your ears. I love them.

@@_Humanoid_4KI only had the XM3 but someone took them so I was stuck with buying the XM2 for $80 in 2022. But the ULT have me curious too I never had the XM4 or XM5

I love mine too! They're unbeatable in terms of bass and I think no sony will come close unfortunately. At that price point or any price point, you can't get more bass than this.
