I watched a bunch of reviews on these sense I’m waiting on them too arrive and you have the best review of them all you really hit all the points of interest. Other people where complaining about the audio quality and the bass but as you said these are bass headphone

People talk about bassy headphones and classical music like they're opposites, but I actually love listening to orchestral music with my Crusher Evo and the bass slider pushed up just a little bit. Bass instruments like timpani or string bass tend to get lost in orchestra recordings, and mid-forward headphones make the brass section way too loud.

That is why I preffer the Crusher (not the wired or the OG wireless) because that bass slider, if too much bass ruins the song, you bring it down all the way, if there is not enough bass, you slide it all the way to the middle or more, the Sonys extra bass are just to Bassy, it doesn't ruin the song but bass takes over too much, the Crusher, well, the ANC and Evo feel like Bass is totally away from the music but it thumps hard, really hard, but the sony is a Win too because the Equalizer, I own the Crusher ANC and the 900N, and I love both, but for call quality go with the Crusher ANC.

I'm very glad to see these comments! I primarily listen to Sam Spence NFL films songs because I love powerful low brass. I'm anything but an audio expert, but was thinking the extra bass would highlight the low brass as they really can be covered up by the rest of ensembles. When this guy said it's not for higher stuff like classical I was confused, but after reading these comments, I'm not alone. I wasn't expecting anyone to encounter this problem because this music is unpopular, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

dude, I'm so glad you did a review on these headphones. I found out about these because I was like "Has Sony dropped anything " and checked their site and saw that they were coming out in a little bit. Not many people were talking about these headphones which I found odd. I feel like Sony could be more prevalent in their marketing mkbhd talked about this in a video. Hope you do a review for their new earbuds WF-C500 I want to see how they compare to the galaxy buds.

Props on this review! I really enjoyed the video and you’re out in front of the crowd here, which is terrific considering I’m having a hard time deciding between these and the XM4s based, admittedly, on their aesthetics! And as a longtime audio reviewer (since before KZfaq reviews actually;) that’s a first for me. You inspired me to give both a try instead of just hearing XM4s! Cuz as we all know: The final choice should always come down to sonic integrity and personal preference.

@@Domdoenbaby the extra base blew his mind R.I.P I have them both and are actually ordering a new pair of the XB910, I find the xb910 have a lot to offer other than music, the extra base makes videogames and movies rattle your brain its something i enjoy, and since my previous pair got stolen I took advantage of the 33 percent off on amazon. I use the xm4 to go out because they have a smaller profile and better noise cancelation if by a small margin.

I've had all the recent XB Sony Headphones and by far happy with my purchases(Bang 4 ur Buck $$)👍🏼🔊. But the only thing is "Don't fall asleep in them" the durability sucks. Hopefully they fixed the cheap plastic swivels, arms etc.... 🤷🏽‍♂️ Get Warranty

You forgot to mention that it dims the volume and increases the ambient sound when you cover the right headphone with your hands. I think that's a cool feature! Especially when your partner is around.

So its not that big of an upgrade from the previous gen xb900n then? Those have nfc and the anc is great too. I got my xb900n in the "BB exclusive" grey for under $120 last yr and bought a new sony case from ebay for $10, movies while traveling havent been the same ever since. Just recently got a pair of skullcandy crusher evo's for $90 and those monsters are on a whole notha level though when it comes to bass. Great review! but it doesn't seem worth the upgrade if ur already an xb900n owner, definitely not for that price tag.

It was a Flossy Carter “like" smell test in the start there lol. Nice review man i enjoy it. I have the 1000XM3`s and im super happy with these, but does the XB910N match the ANC on XM3 ?

I dont think these are trash like people are saying or they are not "xm4." When you gaming on your PC, it is important to hear everything, and for that price tag, they pretty much offer stable sound... you could EQ and won't sound wonky like others are also saying. Neither is good for walking outside on sunny days; take a pair of earbuds for that! Without some extras, they may sound like buds2 pro and their ANC is great if you want to cut some background noise. Quick add: I have friends saying to me that XM4's ANC adds way too much pleasure, and head pain is starting.

About the same amount of bass as the 900n? They have a wider sound frequency range than the 900n. Hope it helps with separation.

Man I think I got a used or defective set mine have like the bass of a $30 head set first off and heavy bass songs sound distorted big time like the bass drivers are blown and to top all that off when you take them off your head they go bonkers with distortion . Hit me back with a reply please if this is normal "LOL!" or there's a work around? I feel like a premium pair of headphones should not distort no matter what. Tried them on my PC/Tablet/Phone all with same effect. Haven't used their EQ app yet and that wouldn't matter i bought these for the pc and there's no app for windows .
