Nice. Good , it's actually not a good idea to use the original charger, and keep the old battery it might still work. Somethings I just learned about these batteries. I'm making a video coming soon for all the info. But at least I can advise you to buy a "smartcharger" the like of litokala and zanflare.

@@theelectronage thank you, I was on a budget and not sure if it still work as I have lost everything bar the remote and 1 original gum battery. I wish I kept my mini disc as I had a great one from Sony and gave it away when iPods where coming in. Gutted. But if these batteries work for the Walkman it would soften the blow. I've currently got back into old music media since finding the Walkman, brought myself a new CD Walkman, not Sony but it works and it's so nice to hear my CDs again on some great IEMs. I have 2 technics 1200s too that I recently got referbished which set me back 300 quid as I needed a whole new motherboard. Also got a mint condition iPod gen 6 classic. Doesn't beat the sound on the CD player but now I have all forms of audio again except a mini disc player. So gutted I let that go. They are worth a lot now. How much do you think this Walkman is worth ? It's the purple one but exactly the same. Fingers crossed it works. Will let you know if it does. Watching your video and going through the functions was new to me, I never used them when I got it 23 year ago haha. Also the OG battery is 600mah and the new battery is 1400mah, will that matter do you think? It says it's compatible with all Sony walkmans ?

Hi, If it's for a very good price why not, but there are far much better models out there, for example the wm-ex570 is a very good full metal body walkman that take 1AA. It's usually for a good price too. Good luck with the search.
