Steps:
Step 1 Power off
Step 2 Take out the SIM card tray
Step 3 Remove the back cover
Step 4 Remove the motherboard
Step 5 Remove the loudspeaker & USB port
Step 6 Remove the battery
Step 7 Remove the power button
Step 8 Remove the screen
Step 9 Test the new screen
Step 10 Install the new screen
Step 11 Reinstall the other parts
Step 12 Install the back cover

9:45 actually, here you should put the screw in the lower hole on the headphone jack. Later you will put a screw in the slot this video showed you. In 10:25 the top corner screw is the same one as in 9:45

If only the glass needs to be replaced is it then really necessary to take the whole phone apart? Wont just heading the glass and glueing new glas on it be enough?

At 6:39, there is nothing that indicates that the screen is held down on the sides by the torx screws you removed. So why did you remove the torx screws? It appears as if you removed more components than was necessary for a screen replacement.

The side bezels that the screws hold also holds the screen, you could get away with removing one side only though I think

so, my personal thoughts regarding SCREEN ONLY replacement would be: remove sim card/sd card trays, remove motherboard, remove the battery (the pulls tabs on this are better than iPhone's), you dont need to remove power ribbon, neither the front speaker. i removed only left frame, you just need to remove loudspeaker, removing usb daughter board is unnecessary. then you just remove the display, and carry on with reassembly process. one of the cleanest xperias to be done so far. cheers

I would probably make more damage trying to get the screen replaced myself than already exists...I should record my each step filming it like this since I am bound to forget what I have done. Doesn't seem very easy to me, but I'm all thumbs, so...

I have 3 of these phones all same condition either smashed bent or just not a phone lol I must have over 30 sony phones wiv all same type problems I reckon it'll cost me 1,000 to fix all of em then have working phones again haha
