Merci from France for this test ;) I love both. I wish for a fusion of their features. The big problem for me with the ZV1 is its stabilization, which is the best aspect of the GoPro. However, I love the focus and zoom capabilities of the ZV1, which don't exist in the GoPro. Additionally, GoPro's performance at night is not as good

Great comparison as always but, I still haven't found the ultimate ALL around camera that checks off ALL the boxes at under $2000.00 US.

I went for the Osmos Action 4. It is better than the GoPro on many levels. I bought it for the Low Light ablity to shoot. So far everythign great. Do wish I could screw on some zoom lens though.

Something you didn't touch on is the fact that the GoPro get red hot and shuts itself down when in hotter environments, which is a nightmare for vloggers, I have a 7 8 and 11 and the 11 is the worst, max 40 minutes and it shuts down and I have to wait 10 or15 minutes before it will turn back on again!

If the rumors turn out to be true and GoPro indeed comes with the 1" sensor, that's gonna be killer. Unfortunately, Sony really missed a huge opportunity in this segment. Just work on that stabilization Sony.

Yes I have to agree I am watching for September in anticipation and if indeed we get one inch will be doing that comparison with the ZV-1ii to see how they match up particularly in low light 😀👍🏼📷

I use GoPro 10 for vlogging and the mirrorless Nikon Z30 as a studio camera (or still photography) In essence, you need both devices. I used Sony ZV1 in the past but the stabilization was awful and the timelapse feature was too complicated to use. I prefer Nikon's color over the Sony's.

the sony clearly has the better cam and sensor ,,,,,, but if your starting out ied go with the gopro till u make $$$$ then get the sony for none action stuff
