I'm a pro photographer, i shoot 2,3 or 4 times a week, and i was using both a7iii and a7 iv. I just got this in order to have a smaller sony camera for social and street photography and i couldn't be happier. Considering the things that you are missing from more expensive models, i can easly say that i get the same practical results with this than with the other alphas, when shooting photography. I can't believe you get this much for this price. Upgrade to a better lens like the 1.8 - 11mm - (kit lens does well), buy a compact, hotshoe flash and you will have a little monster, fully equiped to do anything the a7 models can do, in still photography.

I am loving my ZVE 10, as far as the rolling shutter I just put it on a gimbal and that mitigates the rolling shutter with slow pans and movements, If you put it in 1080 P there is hardly any rolling shutter.

What blue light is the guy at the end using on his desk? Nice vid. I think this camera is good for someone new who doesn't know manual settings like myself. I'm pairing this up with a sigma 16mm f1.4 lens I think.

Does it crop in in 4k? So if you use the sigma 56mm 1.4, you have go even further away?

That software won't fix rolling shutter if the camera is still and other things are moving. It will fix rolling shutter if you are panning the camera.

I've used catalyst browse on a ZV1 its very good. I'm not sure why so many people dismiss it. You get gimbal like footage without the hassle of carrying and balancing a gimbal. Thanks for the heads up on the camera settings. Do a few tweaks in post after or do you have to add a lut.

i thought catalyst browse was just for stabilizing footage.. didn't knew it took care of rolling shutter too.. that's amazing!

I need to create a creative content like sometime sporty, adventures riding on bikes, indoor etc. So little bit confused between the options available yo me. 1. Go with the Go Pro 10 first in the start and then switch over to the Sony A73 in the future. 2. Go with the Sony ZV-e10. What would you suggest?

Does rolling shutter problem only happen when you shoot without stabilization ?

I am using the ZV E10 now. It is really not bad for its price in terms of the quality and built. The battery life is not that fantastic but it serves its purpose. I tried recording for an extended period of time and it overheat at around 30-35 mins mark of continuous shooting.

How is it for stills? On par with the 6400?

the only thing sony is still really adamant about is the touch screen features. I mean, touch to focus is good, but it would be even better with full touch controls. Even the Lumix G7 which is about 6 or 7 years old now has full touch controls. heck even the Canon M50 mark 1.

Mine is perfect except for when I move the camera, I have a strange blurriness happening, I'm not talking about rolling shutter. From side to side, up and down even extremely slow its blurry until when I stop. I thought at first it was my new slider, even at minimum speed it does that. Not clean. But when not moving its fantastically sharp. Ever heard of this?

I bought the ZV-E10 as a backup cam for travelling but returned it after a week or so. AF is good but rolling shutter and the non existing EVF were a dealbreaker

the 1080p mode is the worst, it crops a little bit and you lose resolution with it. doesnt happen in 4k for some reason.

I have it. I wouldn’t necessarily call it “pro”. But, it’s pretty dang good for what it has to offer. Funny, the rolling shutter on mine isn’t as dramatic as yours. As your friend showed, Catalyst Browse fixes most rolling shutter. There are solutions people. Be open to learning before jumping on the Whine Wagon. The crop? Not that big a deal. I shot at 4K 60 with mine. I only had to move 1-1/2 feet to get the same composition between the cropped and uncropped version. My channel has my example of it.

Still a stretch to call it a pro camera. I guess you could use it for product shots with controlled lighting but that's about all I'd be willing to use it for if I'm getting paid.
