We hebben altijd al geweten dat de belangrijkste strijd van Spider-Man er een met zichzelf is: het zoeken naar een evenwicht tussen de dagdagelijkse verplichtingen van Peter Parker en de buitengewone verantwoordelijkheden van Spider-Man. Maar in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 wordt Peter Parker met een groter conflict geconfronteerd. Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) zijn is geweldig. Voor Peter Parker gaat er niks boven het slingeren tussen wolkenkrabbers, als held onthaald worden en tijd doorbrengen met Gwen (Emma Stone). Maar het leven van Spider-Man gaat niet altijd over rozen: Spider-Man is de enige die zijn mede-New Yorkers kan beschermen tegen de gevreesde schurken die de stad bedreigen. Met Electro (Jamie Foxx), een nieuwe schurk, wordt Peter geconfronteerd met een schurk die veel krachtiger is dan hij. Zijn goede vriend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) komt terug en Peter beseft dat al zijn vijanden één ding gemeen hebben: OsCorp.

I liked this version of Electro alot and I am glad they recast Foxx in No Way Home. But I understand why they couldn't use the same looks as here in the MCU. Intellectual property and all..

@@BlueTyphoon2017 Well who says Electro should be taken completely serious? At the end of the day he is one of Spider-man's villains that decided he should wear a mask. It's part of his personality. I also dissagree that it would be too silly beacuse the original design by Ditko doesn't have the star that big at all. I think if the star has some texture like say DCEU Flash I think he would look cool.

The coolest thing about all of this is the fact that electro in this movie is LITERALLY 100% ELECTRICITY so he was 100% electricity in his world, something that makes his “mission” in no way home senseless
