Mate your missing the point.... He only loves her when he's down.... But he's down all the time. As much as he was down... He had love. Its a fucked up concept lol. He is my idle dude. To me this is the most beautiful love song ever written 🤟

Thank you for doing this one. This is my favorite song Chris Cornell ever touched (I can admit that to myself now) and while I do feel like it is vastly underrated I am so glad it is. This is not one I could handle coming across "in the wild." This is one that I need to be prepared for.

He was on painkillers and alcohol. It kind of swept me away the day he died. Didn't know it would hit me that bad. I had a gig the same night and sung I Am the Highway and Like a Stone.

Chris has always been as a great vocalist. THIS PERIOD WAS after Chris was done with Soundgarden... on break with Audioslave and he was off heroine, rehabed clean & Sober years into his new marriage. The depressing part is that Doctors prescribed meds that reactivated his dependencies on drugs that haunted him near the end of his career.
