I’m a longhorn fan and went to this game (2018) and it is still the greatest atmosphere of college football I have ever seen. Great pregame trash talk on both sides, great game by both teams, and a great postgame, and then after that, Sooner and Longhorn fans alike went to the fair to enjoy the rest of their day. It’s an intense rivalry, and Texas has a lot of teams that hate em, but I think OU is the team Texas considers their biggest rival (A&M hasn’t played Texas since 2011). Although I strongly dislike OU, they’re always a worthy opponent to face against. Hats off to them.

I believe the reason Texas fans sit in the north end of the Cotton Bowl, is because when they decided to play that game in Dallas, the horns wanted that end in order for the sun to not block their eyes in the late afternoon (The configuration of the Cotton Bowl is NW to SE i believe which cause the sun to usually reflect on Oklahoma's end )
