Another great reaction! It is about a lady who's husband can give her a child but she loves him deeply so goes out to find a man that can give her a child. Unfortunately for her, she bumps into him once the child is born and he notices the resemblance. Dodgy!

Ann has made the comment several times that she’s always hated singing this song live because she always thought the guy gets treated badly. The fans like it though. As far as the young woman…her husband can’t give her one so she does the only thing she knows how to do to have a baby. Hell, men have been using women for as long as time…..I feel for the guy also but….

@markkeeney7857 Anne hated this song when it come out and still hates it to this day, she says it's creepy and creeps her out . She has no problem sharing the fact she hates it , always has and always will . Says she couldn't imagine having to sing this at every concert for how ever many years to come. It speaks volumes of Anne vocal abilities to make a song she hates sound so good .

Her partner couldnt give her what she wanted which was a child. So he was probably shooting blanks. So she had a one night stand to get pregnant and ran into him a few years later.

All the songs you mentioned that you liked by Heart were late 80’s and 90’s hits, so I can only assume you haven’t listened their 70’s stuff. You really need to. By the way Dobie Gray’s big hit was the classic “Drift Away”.

Why does he not read or mention.. The Heart version tells the story of a woman who sets out to seduce a hitchhiker in order to become pregnant because although there is a man in her life, he is infertile.

Heart went through this period in the late 80s and early 90s where the only songs released as singles were MTV-designed pop songs. Some of these like "Never" and "Alone" were good, but this song was, in my opinion, their lowest of low from the MTV period. Their record company Capitol clearly wanted them to be something they're not and avoided the hard rock material they were known for like the plague when it came to singles. This song has little in common with the rest of the album Brigade and was an obvious attempt to get a hit single. People seem to either love it or hate it, and I tend to be in the latter category. Thankfully the rest of the album was not made up of derivative, calculated crap like this song.

The album this track came from was great, lots of great heavy rock. But this song is not only too pop sounding but the message in it is horrible. When this came out in the early 90s AIDS was almost at it's peak and there was no treatment or cure, so this message at that time was terrible. Pick up a hitchhiker, trade bodily fluids, dump him, and when you run into him again tell him the only reason you slept with him was to get pregnant because the guy you really care about shoots blanks. Ann Wilson said in an interview this song is "hideous" for it's message and I agree with her. I'll stick to Heart's hard rock and metal tunes and skip the MTV pop crap Just my opinion. Great reaction video, though, as usual.
