I once took an Amtrak train. But, they made me bring it back. Seriously, I did take an Amtrak train from Philadelphia to Orlando, Fla.

As you well know this is something I could do all day! Trains, Planes, Automobiles, and Rockets are my thing! Plus nature and exploration...thats what drew me to your channel last year! I'm glad I'm back...got out of this rut of depression...Altoona will definitely be on my bucket list of places I want to see in NE Pennsylvania along with meeting you!

The Amtrak was definitely a nice bonus, plus having the Wabash unit. The sunset was breathtaking, i can definitely appreciate it more seeing it this way since i am surrounded by trees and don't get to see it like this. Another great day we had filming, joking around, and making more awesome memories for a lifetime.

Perfect! You looked like you were in your glory, how fun! Both locations were great with awesome train action! Loved seeing the Amtrak, when I was a kid, we (my family) took a passenger train from Minnesota to Florida. It was a great experience! I hope you get to take that off your bucket list soon. Another awesome video that I thoroughly enjoyed. You do great work and I do enjoy viewing your videos. I especially enjoy viewing this one because I have been a rail fan since I have been a teenager, and now I'm 70 years old. I can still remember my first model train set that I got from Santa, but I digress. I personally would love to see more of these kind of videos. But in truth I like the ones where you're out in nature exploring. Keep up the good work because I know you are doing a good job in bringing joy and satisfaction, through your videos, to a lot of people.… Bye for now

Those were some awesome pictures at the end. Love how the sunset reflects off the tracks, it makes them look like it was a long exposure photo but it wasn't!

Many Amtrak trips....once to California, once to Memphis, many trips to Montana on the Empire Builder always coach. You ride for the adventure and the love of trains, not to make time or be on time. Such an awesome experience, prices are decent. ...you absolutely need to ride! The double decker Superliner coach cars are so cool, since you are much higher then the regular coach cars. Rode to Chicago one time in the front top seat of the dome car, with a retired engineer....what an amazing experience that was! Watched the sun rise over Lake Erie. Go for it!!

I have never been on an Amtrak train, but I would like to in the future, it does go through our small Pennsylvania town! It probably left Altoona and headed our way! that was a beautiful sunset, thanks for the video!!

Altoona is rail heaven. I drive Greyhound and used to do the Pittsburgh to Harrisburg local which basically starts at, follows and ends along this mainline, with most of our stops at the Amtrak terminals, including Altoona, Johnstown and Harrisburg.

Trains are awesome. Great variety in your video. That first train was so clean ... don’t think I’ve ever seen a train without graffiti. Always wondered why the contents of those open cars don’t fly out. Would be a blast to drive a locomotive without anything attached. All that power ... must be tempting to really burn around. I have taken the Amtrak from Osceola Iowa to Emeryville California. That train is called the California Zephyr. I throughly enjoyed the ride. The ride was 48 hours long. Food was excellent. We had a sleeper compartment and I had no trouble sleeping. Would like to do more trips on Amtrak.

Altoona Pennsylvania must be a main train hub for coal trains and freight trains....and Amtrak to . What a beautiful Cathedral. ..those kind of locomotives looks to be the strong ones ...to carry freight what a lot of coal cars . What a beautiful sunset over the Railroad tracks of Altoona Pennsylvania ... another great video

I live just up the tracks westbound about as far as you can see, and the Rose yard used to be clear full of rolling stock from 4th Street in the city back past where you were standing on the 8th street bridge about as far as you can see eastbound. It has all since been sent to scrap...everything from engines to cabooses

Wow ! Busy train yard ...saw the Intermodal cars you told me about ( always learning something in your videos.) I love passenger trains ...rode one from Ga. to Washington DC. but before the days of Amtrac. I think I like the view from the train yard bridge best ( liked them both: } Got some great shots ....loved the sunset . Great train action in Altoona !

So many great shots and trains in this one! I dream of taking an Amtrak vacation someday and also riding the Acela train. I love that Wabash heritage unit! Both locations are great, but I prefer the bridge downtown because there seems to be more trains passing through, sometimes several at a time. Love the sunset over the mountain too. It's all good though. There's no bad place to watch a train!

It would be really cool if you could do a cab ride along. Some railroads used to do it back in the day, but you had to sign a waiver. You might have a better chance with one of the short lines. Years ago I took Amtrak from Penn Station to Columbia South Carolina to go to college. Pretty brutal 16 hour trip. Never flush the toilet in a station!
