A short clip from the documentary 'Sooty Ungloved', a new two-part film that takes a look at the life of Harry Corbett and his most famous creation, a naughty little teddy bear called Sooty...

I would love to see more Harry Corbett stuff than the DVDs that were released. The BBC hold a lot of it and won't show it.

Randomly stumbled across this on one of the casts profiles after they claimed it was a *BBC Four* documentary, which it clearly wasn't. It's also been promoted by various names including: *A Sooty History, The Sooty Story, The Story of Sooty & Sweep,* and is now apparently named *Sooty Ungloved.* I haven't seen any *Sooty* documentaries, as far as I'm aware of, however I wonder any of them, this included, will mention the fact that *Harry Corbett* was from *Bradford,* and started his *Sooty* career on *Manningham Lane, Bradford.* I also wonder if they'll mention the *Sooty's Wonderful World Museum* aka the *World of Sooty Museum* which was based at *Windhill Manor* in *Shipley, Bradford,* that was open from 1987 until the early 1990s.

Would love to see the full length version of this. Perhaps it's something Talking Pictures would consider as they've been showing tributes to other famous people recently?!

I was thinking. Now Sky Arts is on Freeview in the UK, that seems an ideal channel to snap this up for transmission. I would love to see it and I have wanted to for ages.

Anyone know who produced this and why it was not on general relaease? More importantly, when will it be? I'd like to see it.

It was produced by Jeff Smart and is an independently produced film. Jeff is still negotiating with various broadcasters to get the film shown on TV before exploring DVD release options.
